Forget about her supposed role as Alwyna in Mulawin as Maxene Magalona is back as Lily, Vergel's childhood friend with a secret crush on him. I guess, later on, Vergel will fall in love with her, just like other typical Pinoy soaps.
Rainier Castillo will prove this time that he's not being left behind by contemporaries like Mark Herras, Yasmien Kurdi and Jennylyn Mercado. He will play Ikoy, a monkey creature entasked to guide Vergel in the mortal world.
After Impostora, Mark Anthony Fernandez is back and gets the most challenging part in the series. As Lucero, he will play as Vergel's best friend turned archrival.

Carlo J. Caparas' Kamandag is directed by Mark Reyes and Topel Lee, and premieres November 19, 2007 on GMA Telebabad.
