After 14 years, Binibining Pilipinas comes back to ABS-CBN.

Today, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) signed a 5-year contract with ABS-CBN, giving the latter the right to air Binibining Pilipinas pageant starting this 2011, as reported earlier on TV Patrol.

The last time ABS-CBN aired the pageant was in 1997 with Abbygale Arenas, Kristine Florendo and Susan Jane Ritter as the winners.

And since Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010 and Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner Up Venus Raj is under contract with BPCI, she's also brought along to ABS-CBN and joins the network's pool of talents.

Venus also signed a contract with the Kapamilya Network and will start her first regular show very soon.

This is one great news to most of those who voted on Mykiru's poll which had 71.2% of the voters wanting Venus to be a Kapamilya.

ABS-CBN actually has already given good breaks to former Binibining Pilipinas titlists like Charlene Gonzalez, Nina Ricci Alagao, Precious Lara Quigaman and most recently, Bianca Manalo who's the lead star of the currently airing "Juanita Banana".
