After many delays in airing, "Imortal" will finally premiere this October on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida.

But I wonder what it's going to replace - is it Noah or Magkaribal?

The teaser trailer for the characters has been revealed already last Wednesday night before the airing of Magkaribal. Does it mean it's going to replace the Bea Alonzo-Gretchen Barretto soap?

I hope Noah is ending next month and not Magkaribal.

Watch the said teaser:

Isn't it too Twilight-ish? But it looks so much exciting!

Notice also the names of the characters and obviously they derived it from the Bible and names of saints.

Angel Locsin as Lia (derived from Leah, Jacob's wife in the book of Genesis / also from St. Lia or Lea)

John Lloyd Cruz as Mateo (The Gospel of St. Matthew)

Maricar Reyes as Samantha (St. Samantha)

Rico Blanco as Lucas (Gospel of St. Luke)

Jomari Yllana as Roman (Romans, 6th book in the New Testament)

Vivian Velez as Lucille (a saint's name and also derived from Lucius, mentioned in Acts of the Apostles)

Johnny Revilla as Simon (St. Simon Peter, one of the 12 Apostles)

Jake Roxas as Magnus (St. Magnus / Latin for The Great as in Alexander The Great mentioned in the book of Daniel)

and Jaime Fabregas as Abraham (St. Abraham / Abraham, the patriarch of the Israelites)

That continues the tradition in ABS-CBN soaps like Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay (used Russian names), Maging Sino Ka Man (characters' names derived from Philippine Presidents, politicians & national heroes) and Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo (from famous international singers).
