The movie 'Maybe This Time' has impressively grossed P117.3-million after 2 weeks, and another P17.3M in its 3rd week, to make its 3-week gross as P134.6M, the 3rd highest among locally-produced films this 2014.

With that earnings, it's now official that 'Maybe This Time' is already Coco Martin's highest-grossing film ever, and also Sarah Geronimo's highest, if not considering her 2 giant hits with John Lloyd Cruz.

'Maybe This Time' has already surpassed the box office earnings of 'Catch Me...I'm In Love', Sarah's movie with Gerald Anderson in 2011, which tallied P120.2-million in 5 weeks. Take note, FIVE WEEKS, as compared to the CoSa movie which already earned P134.6M in just THREE WEEKS.

The figures came from Box Office Mojo, which has reported that for its 2nd weekend (June 4-8), 'Maybe This Time' collected P28.1-million from 80 theaters, to rank 4th behind the Angelina Jolie film 'Maleficent' (which held the #1 spot for the 2nd straight week) and 2 new Hollywood releases ('The Fault in Our Stars', 'Edge of Tomorrow').

But all these Hollywood films were given more than 130 theaters. 'Maleficent' were shown in 248 screens, 'TFIOS' debuted in 137 screens while the Tom Cruise movie was screened in 165 movies.

'Maybe This Time' was showing in only 80 screens for its 2nd weekend, but managed to earn P28.1-million, which translates to an average of P350,706 per theater - the 2nd highest per-theater average for the weekend, only behind that of 'The Fault in Our Stars' (P375,670 per theater average). Amazing isn't it?

For its 3rd weekend however (June 11-15), 'Maybe This Time' sadly had to compete with a new local film under the sister studio of its producer, the Pokwang-Zanjoe Marudo movie 'My Illegal Wife', which took in P55M within 5 days, according to its distributor Star Cinema. Played in only 30 theaters, the Sarah-Coco movie earned P5.9M for its 3rd weekend, now having P134.6M gross total after 3 weeks (19 days).

Here's the box office tally of 9 local films released so far in 2014:

1. "Starting Over Again" - P410.2M after 6 weeks
2. "Bride For Rent" - P327.0M after 5 weeks
3. "Maybe This Time" - P134.6M after 3 weeks
4. "Da Possessed" - P122.7M after 5 weeks
5. "Diary Ng Panget The Movie" - P119.5M after 5 weeks
6. "My Illegal Wife" - P55M after 5 days (still showing)
6. "So It's You" - P25.5M after 2 weeks
7. "ABNKKBSNPLAko?! The Movie" - P17.0M after 3 weeks
8. "Third Eye" - P10.2M after 2 weeks
