Bruno Faria, first finalist of Mister Brazil 2010

Mister Brasil Mundo 2010 candidate Bruno Faria from Santa Catarina has won the Mister Popularity 2010 title after he topped the online poll conducted for the 33 official candidates.

25-year-old Bruno, who is a full-time model, got 309,326 votes or that's 20.46% of the total votes. In 2nd place was Mister Paraná Rodrigo Gomes Simoni (16,70%), followed by Mister Mato Grosso Isac Fioravante (10,32%), Mister Minas Gerais Diego Silva de Oliveira (6,17%) and Mister Bahia Carlos Alberto Bispo de Lima (5,93%).

As Mister Popularity winner Bruno becomes the first finalist of the contest.

The rest of the Top 12 finalists will be announced during the finals happening Thursday night at the Hotel Tivoli São Paulo - Mofarrej in Brazil.

Bruno is actually one of the big favorites for the title. He is in fact one of Mykiru's Top 16 favorites.

Meanwhile, one candidate of Mister Brasil Mundo 2010 will not be competing on the finals.

Mister Atol Das Rocas Guilherme Cruz met a serious motorcycle accident last Tuesday and is currently in coma state.

After his recovery, the pageant organizer has announced that they will still let Guilherme compete during their 2011 pageant.
