Ian Batherson as Cosmo Centerfold 2012, new Kapamilya and Sarah Geronimo's TVC leading man

Fellow Bicolano Ian Batherson, who finished 4th on GMA 7's StarStruck V, has many good things to be thankful for these days.

First, Ian is one of the 10 Cosmo Centerfolds for 2012, alongside Paulo Avelino (also from StarStruck), JM De Guzman, Joseph Marco, Alden Richards and more.

Then, also this month, Ian appears as Sarah Geronimo's love interest in the latter's newest Charmee TVC (as shown in the screen shot below).

We've seen him in a Close-Up TVC before with Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemate Valerie Weignmann, but he's getting noticed more in the new Charmee TVC, maybe because he is with THE Sarah Geronimo.

And to top these all, Ian Batherson is switching networks, from GMA 7 to ABS-CBN, following the move of StarStruck 4's 4th Placer Paulo Avelino who transferred to the Kapamilya Network last year.

No official announcement yet, but Ian has been talking about it already on Twitter since late August.

We can't blame Ian to make this big move, because while on GMA, he was only given 2 shows after StarStruck: the reality show "Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition" as one of the castaways and the daytime soap "Sisid" in a forgettable role.

According to Ian, he will just be making adjustments for his career. "Makin things happen. Went through slow times but things r picking up all I had to do was make some adjustments," he tweeted last Sep. 3.

Ian becomes the 8th from StarStruck to transfer to ABS-CBN after Megan Young, Cristine Reyes, Johan Santos, Piero Vergara, Jewel Mische, Paulo Avelino and the late Tyron Perez. He's 9th actually if we include Paul Salas, who joined StarStruck Kids on GMA 7 and now topbills "Aryana" on ABS-CBN. - www.mykiru.ph
