According to the Daily Mail Online, Britney Spears negotiated to get paid $15-million just to be a judge of The X Factor USA Season 2, so maybe that explains why Demi Lovato, a much younger, inexperienced singer, was also picked as judge because she's getting much lower figure than Britney. (Demi reportedly will be getting only over $1-million.)

With that, Britney becomes the highest-paid judge and Demi as the youngest judge ever in any reality singing competitions in the US.

Many are worried that Britney Spears will be exploited in The X Factor just to get high ratings.

As we all know, Britney had a troubled past, with her controversial personal life overshadowed her phenomenal music career.

She has been judged many times, and some people can't imagine her putting judgement on aspiring talents.

But why not? Let's give her a break. Britney may have had a controversial past, but we can't deny her having great achievement in music, and her own "x-factor" undeniably played a big role.

She was once called the Princess of Pop, a Grammy-winning singer and a top-selling artist having sold over 100 million albums.

As for Demi, she became popular after leading the cast of "Camp Rock" on Disney Channel but is far more popular in the world as ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.

With her age of 19, it's obvious that the X Factor U.S. will have a new category for its contestants. Demi probably will be mentoring the teens or those 20 and below.

As shown in the picture, Demi had to turn her hair from black to blonde, which unfortunately doesn't look great for her.

The X Factor USA Season 2 premieres this September 2012 on FOX, airing every Wednesday night (Performance Show), at 8-10, and every Thursday (Results Show), at 8 to 9 PM, back-to-back with Glee Season 4 at 9PM. (It's Glee's new timeslot after having a Tuesday timeslot in previous seasons.)

Just like in Season 1, I hope Studio 23 here in the Philippines will also air The X Factor USA Season 2.

Meanwhile, Philippines' local version of X Factor will already have its premiere on ABS-CBN this June 23, with 20-year-old international singer Charice as one of the 4 judges. © www.mykiru.ph
