From PBB cutie to showbiz hottie...
That's how MEGA Magazine describes Kim Chiu on its November 2008 issue.

To quote from MEGA Magazine:

Her smile can brighten any gloomy room. And that’s good, given that a positive go-getter attitude is what’s needed for one to survive in the glitzy yet sometimes not-too-glamorous world of show business. But she can handle it.
Yes, Kim Chiu can handle it.

Despite the onslaught of intrigues, personal attacks and criticisms (the latest of which is the anorexia speculation about her weight loss), Kim handles them graciously. Sometimes, not all the glitz and glamour of show business is good for one’s health, especially for a teenager whose energies—no matter how abundant they are—could easily be depleted. But she knows where to place herself, and she places herself quite well.

In fact, that was what she did to rise to the top.

Born Kimberly Sue Chiu, Kim is the first big winner of the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition in 2006, the panopticon-type reality show that has every Filipino teenager hooked. Born in 1990, she was 16 when she entered PBB and is now a legal adult at the exciting age of 18. She celebrated her debut with a bang last April 19, as the event was covered and aired by her Kapamilya station. Not every girl in the country has their debut televised, and Kim notes that the celebration is definitely one of the most memorable moments of her life…so far. And what a life this girl has had, so far.
