38th Gawad Urian 2015 winners bared! Darren Espanto sings for Nora Aunor

38th Gawad Urian 2015 winners have just been announced. Acting categories winners were Eula Valdez (Best Actress), Allen Dizon (Best Actor), Gladys Reyes (Best Supporting Actress) and Martin Del Rosario (Best Supporting Actor).

'That Thing Called Tadhana', one of my fave 2015 movies so far, sadly won nothing from its 4 Gawad Urian nominations. Lead stars Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman lost to Valdez and Dizon respectively.

'Mula Sa Kung Ano Ang Noon' ('From What Is Before') [4] - Best Picture, Best Director for Lav Diaz, Best Editing and Best Screenplay
'Magkakabaung' ('The Coffin Maker') [2] - Best Actor for Allen Dizon and Best Supporting Actress for Gladys Reyes
'Dagitab' ('Sparks') [2] - Best Actress for Eula Valdez and Best Supporting Actor for Martin Del Rosario
'Bwaya' ('Crocodile') [2] - Best Music, Best Cinematography
'Dementia' [1] - Best Production Design
'Violator' [1] - Best Sound
'Kinabukasan' ('The Day After') [1] - Best Short Film
'Walang Rape Sa Bontok' ('Bontok, Rapeless') [1] - Best Documentary

Meanwhile, The Voice Kids' Darren Espanto shared stage with Kyla, Jed Madela and Asia's Got Talent's Gwyneth Dorado in the same awards night in a tribute prod for the Superstar Nora Aunor, who was this year's Lifetime Achievement awardee.

Check this video of them singing together for the Superstar:, which for me was a highlight worth remembering from the the 2015 Urian Awards, which was aired live on Cinema One. (credit to Darrenatics - International Facebook Page):
