Group 2 Best in Evening Gown - Miss Earth 2009

The Miss Earth 2009 Group 2 beauties finally had their preliminary gown competition last night, November 09, at the Greenbelt 5 in Ayala, Makati City.

Just like in Groups 1 and 3, 5 beauties were also named Best in Evening Gown from Group 2.

They were:

Miss USA, Amy Diaz

Miss Philippines, Sandra Seifert

Miss Korea, Park Ye-ju

Miss Italy, Luna Isabella Voce

Miss India, Shriya Kishore

Delegates who competed from Group 2 were: Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chinese Taipei, England, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Panama, Serbia, Slovak Republic, South Sudan, Sweden, Turkey, Turks & Caicos, USA and Wales.

The Top 5 finalists from Group 2 will compete against the Top 5 from Groups 1 and 3 on November 16 at PAGCOR Grand Theater in Parañaque City. And one of them will be awarded Miss Earth 2009 Best in Evening Gown.

In the past editions of Miss Earth, all winners of Best in Evening Gown award made it to the finals.

Aside from Miss Philippines Sandra Seifert, one Miss Earth '09 candidate is also Pinay.

But unlike Seifert who is half-German, Miss Guam Maria Luisa Santos is a full-blooded Filipina.

Her parents are originally from Las Piñas City in Metro Manila.
