So, Marian Rivera isn't the only one having a guest appearance in one of the entries of the ongoing Metro Manila Film Festival 2014 ('Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles'), but also Angel Locsin in another entry.

Angel Locsin, whose last movie was 'Four Sisters and a Wedding' a year and a half ago, has made her big screen comeback with a cameo role in the MMFF 2014 entry 'The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin', Part 2 of the 2011 highest-grossing film 'Praybeyt Benjamin'

With the power of social media, it can't be kept a secret for so long as some 'spoiler' netizens who have already watched the movie on the 1st day shared on Twitter their excitement (search "Angel Locsin Praybeyt Benjamin" on Twitter then you'll see) after seeing Angel's cameo appearance in the comedy film starring Vice Ganda. It marked the first time for the actress to appear in a Wenn Deramas-directed comedy film.

And Angel isn't the only big star who has made a cameo in 'Praybeyt Benjamin 2'. There are more and one of them appeared in the last part of the film, which was kind of a hint that there will be Part 3. (I'm telling you, his cameo was a delightful surprise, drawing loud cheers. He really looks so good on the big screen.)

We actually wanted to watch 'Feng Shui 2' on opening day of MMFF 2014 but we ended up watching 'The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin' because the two little boys with us preferred to watch it over the horror film. So we had no choice, but to give in. (Though we're really planning to watch it as well but not on the 1st day because of the stressful long lines at the cinema entrance.)

We survived 4 hours of waiting in line before we finally entered the cinema for the 5:45 showtime. No doubt, 'Praybeyt Benjamin 2' is leading the box-office race.

It was a fun movie, but the 1st Praybeyt Benjamin was funnier, and last year's MMFF entry 'Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy', which also starred Vice and directed by Deramas, was much better. (Sadly, many found Praybeyt Benjamin 2 'corny'.)

Lead star Vice Ganda didn't fail to entertain, but my only concern was that he turned out to be portraying his own self, Vice Ganda, and no longer the character Praybeyt Benjamin. It was the same Vice we normally see on 'It's Showtime'. He's a talented comedian, but I do hope he will tackle roles which will really bring out the very best in him (just like the 4 roles he portrayed in GBBT last year).

Alex Gonzaga and Tom Rodriguez were the saving grace of the film. I sooo loved all their hilarious scenes there, and I won't mind if they're named Best Supporting Actor and Actress winners during the MMFF 2014 Awards Night tomorrow. Without these 2, the movie would have been a total mess.

'The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2' also proved to be girl and gay crowd-pleaser with many hotties in the cast: Richard Yap, Tom Rodriguez, Gerard Garcia, Kurt Ong, David Licauco, Boom Labrusca, Hideo Muraoka, Billy Villeta and as I mentioned, the guy who made the cameo in the final scene right before the credits rolled. - Mykiru.ph
