Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and our prayers are indeed working, as Bagyong 'Ruby' ('Hagupit') continues to weaken. From supertyphoon to typhoon, now it has been downgraded to just a tropical storm.

Based on PAGASA's latest weather update, 11PM today, December 8, the former typhoon 'Ruby' is now located 45km south southeast of Ambulon, Tanauan City, Batangas or over Batangas Bay, with maximum sustained winds of 65km near the center and gustiness of up to 80kph.

'RUBY' has already made its 4th landfall in Laiya, Batangas, at 5:45 earlier, after landfalls in Eastern Samar, Masbate and Marinduque the past 2 days. It's still being forecast to move west northwest at 13kph.

By tomorrow evening, TS Ruby is expected by PAGASA to be at 310km west of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas, and will be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday evening.

No more areas are under Public Storm Warning Signal No. 3. And only a few are under #2 and #1.

Those still under No. 2 include Batangas, Northern Oriental Mindoro and Northern Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, while it's #1 in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Southern Quezon and Rest of Mindoro.

Let's continue praying that Ruby further weakens and leaves the country ASAP! - Mykiru.ph
