Last night, the awarding ceremony of Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival 2010 was held at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN.

There were 7 competing films and it was "Layang Bilanggo" which won the most recognitions (4 awards) followed by "Ishmael" with 3.

"Dagim", "Astro Mayabang" and "Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria Kirschbaum" all won 2 awards each while "Third World Happy" walked away with 1 award.

The entry "Tsardyer" was the only one not receiving at least a single honor.

The awards night was hosted by Megan Young, Rafael Rosell, Ping Medina and Sid Lucero with performances from Markki Stroem and some other.

Here are the winners:

BEST PICTURE - Layang Bilanggo

JURY PRIZE - Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria Kirschbaum

SPECIAL CITATION - Astro Mayabang

BEST DIRECTOR - Michael Angelo Dagnalan, Layang Bilanggo

BEST ACTOR - Pen Medina, Layang Bilanggo

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR - Marc Abaya, Dagim

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS - Jodi Sta. Maria, Third World Happy

BEST SCREENPLAY - Layang Bilanggo

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY - Ishmael

BEST EDITING - Ishmael

BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN - Ishmael

BEST SOUND - Dagim

BEST MUSICAL SCORE - Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria Kirschbaum

AUDIENCE CHOICE - Astro Mayabang

Notice that there's no Best Actress, because no one qualified to fall under that category. Meaning, all of the leads in the 7 entries were males and the females only played support to them.

Just like in the previous years, Cinema One presented again its "Tribute Awards" for two filmmakers and this year's honorees were Direk Celso Ad Castillo and Lav Diaz.

Congrats to all the winners!

The Cinema One Originals 2010 entries are still showing at Shangri-la EDSA Cineplex and will run there only until Tuesday, November 16.
