PBA Philippine Cup 2014 Finals, San Mig Coffee vs Rain or Shine Game 3 Final Scores: 77-76

It was a tight Game 3 between the San Mig Coffee Mixers and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the PBA Philippine Cup 2014 Finals held earlier tonight, February 19, at the Big Dome.

Just look at the scores in every quarter.

19-20, 38-39, 63-64, 77-76

I think a 1-point lead at the end of ALL 4 quarter scores is so rare in PBA.

San Mig's Joe Devance, who's celebrating his 32nd birthday today, was Game 3 Best Player, with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

James Yap also had 13 points, 11 of which were scored in the 3rd Quarter alone, while PJ Simon scored a point higher, 14 points.

Jeff Chan led the Rain or Shine scoreboard, with a much higher 23 points.

After Game 3, San Mig Coffee now takes the lead in the Best-of-7 finals, 2-1.

Game 4 is scheduled Friday, February 21, and Game 5 will be on Sunday, Feb. 23, still at the Araneta Coliseum.

This Friday, before Game 4 starts, the Best Player of the Conference and Rookie of the Year awardees will be revealed.

Candidates for Best Player of the Conference are Petron Blaze Boosters' Jun Mar Fajardo and Arwind Santos, Barangay Ginebra Kings' Japeth Aguilar and Greg Slaughter, and Globalport Batang Pier's Jay Washington.

Meanwhile, the Rookie of the Year candidates include Ginebra's Slaughter, Globalport's Terrence Romeo, San Mig Coffee's Ian Sangalang and Rain or Shine's Raymond Almazan and Alex Nuyles.
