DLSU will face UST in the UAAP Season 76 Finals.
The Game 1 of the UAAP Season 76 Best-of-3 La Salle vs UST series will be held on October 2, 2013 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, then Game 2 on October 5 at the same venue. If necessary, Game 3 will be held on October 12 at MOA Arena.
La Salle Green Archers, having the twice-to-beat advantage, earned their slot in the finals after beating the FEU Tamaraws last Wednesday, 71-68. The UST Growling Tigers meanwhile had to beat the top-seeded team NU Bulldogs twice to be able to join DLSU in the finals. Last Sep. 22, they defeated NU, 62-71, then won again this afternoon, 69-76, to get through to the UAAP Season 76 Finals.
With DLSU vs UST, this just means Jeron Teng of La Salle will be playing against his own brother Jeric Teng of UST in the finals, and that makes it even more exciting.

Both teams are in good fighting chance as both have won over the other during the elimination rounds. UST won vs DLSU in Round 1, 63-58, but the latter made it even in Round 2, 69-64.
It's the 2nd consecutive year that UST made it to the UAAP finals (they lost to 5-peat Champions Ateneo Blue Eagles last year), while it's DLSU's comeback in the finals after 5 years. The last time was in 2008 when they lost to the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
Overall, UST already won 18 of its 29 UAAP Finals appearances, while La Salle won 7 out of 13.
The two teams already met in the UAAP Finals 4 times (1994, 1995, 1996, 1999) and UST won 3 of those 4 meetings (consecutively from 1994 to 96).
