One Bb. Pilipinas 2015 candidate has announced she is withdrawing from the pageant, just 4 days after the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) selected her as one of the 34 official candidates.

In her Facebook status earlier this evening, Bb. Pilipinas 2015 candidate no. 9 Kimberle Mae "Kimbeau" Penchon, 22 years old, from Benguet, broke the sad news that she'll no longer continue competing in the pageant because of a prior obligation.

"Hi guys. To everybody who is supporting me, i am sorry to say that i cannot push through my candidacy for Binibining Pilipinas because of some obligations. I'm really sorry if i disappointed anybody but I will be back next year. Hoping that i will still have your support," Ms. Penchon said.

Then she later commented in her own post, thanking those who have showed support to her since she was announced as among the official candidates. She promised that she'll join Binibining Pilipinas once again in 2016. "Thank you guys. Ill be back next year. Expect a better kim. I shall return," she said.

Though Penchon did not reveal the exact reason, I think it has got something to do with her obligation as Miss Beauche International 2014 winner. She has been crowned with the title just last December 20 at the Fiesta Pavillion of Manila Hotel.

BPCI has no official announcement yet as to who will replace Penchon and take over as candidate no. 9. Who could she be?

A total of 65 ladies were called for the final screening held last January 11, but only 34 of them were announced as official candidates.

Who among the eliminated 31 applicants will be chosen as replacement candidate? Is it Ali Forbes? Meryl Angeline King? or someone else?

It was one screening shocker when Ali Forbes failed to make it as an official candidate, when she already represented the Philippines in Miss Grand International 2013 and placed 3rd Runner Up. Before that, she also won first as Binibining Pilipinas 2012 1st Runner Up.

Her trainor John De La Vega said on Facebook that he respects BPCI decision and assured everyone he's not feeling bad about it.

"Chasing a dream was never wrong. We are sad naturally but definitely not feeling bad about Ali Forbes' surprise non-inclusion in the official roster of Bb Pilipinas Candidates for 2015. She may not have been given a chance for a second and last attempt for a dream ... a Bb Crown, whatever the reason was, we accept and honor that. She still has so much reasons to thank God for, . . her Bb Pilipinas 2012 Runner-up finish, Miss Grand Intl 3rd Runner-up victory, a budding Showbiz career, a TV Program to host and most of all, ... the love from all of you who have always believed and supported her. So definitely, life goes on with a big warm smile and a positive spirit. Ali's respect and love for Mrs. Stella Marquez de Araneta and her BPCI family will always be as high and strong as they ever were. Her stint as Bb Pilipinas 2012 Runner-up has been a great experience for her. It opened a lot of doors of opportunities and windows for growth and for that Ali will always be grateful. To Ali, you have my eternal love and gratitude!," his statement reads.

Ali made a comment to that post, telling everyone she's okay. "thank you tito john. am ok naman po. when God closes one door, He opens a very big gate. everything happens for a reason. mwah thanks din po to all who commented. God Bless po.. mwah to all of you.."

Aside from Ali, one familiar candidate also didn't make it, and she's Meryl Angeline King.

It was already her 2nd attempt, but she once again failed. A pageant veteran, King was a Miss Philippines Earth 2012 candidate and Miss Tourism World Philippines 2012 winner. She even represented the Philippines in Miss Tourism World pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand the same year. Last September, she surprisingly joined a regional pageant in the country, Miss Bicolandia 2014, where she placed as 4th Runner Up. - Mykiru.ph
