It's January 15, 2015, one BIG day - the arrival of Pope Francis in the Philippines or the start of his 4-day visit to the Philippines.
Pope Francis, on board Sri Lankan plane, arrived in the Philippines around 6PM today at the Villamor Airbase, and was given a huge welcome by the Filipino people, who are thrilled to experience this rare chance of seeing the world's Catholic leader in the country and listening to his inspiring messages on the coming days.
A live stream video was provided online by RTV Malacanang, showing Pope Francis' arrival at Villamor Airbase up to the open motorcade that followed.
Before coming to the Philippines, Pope Francis visited first Sri Lanka, as what he announced 3 days ago in Twitter.
Pope Francis (@Pontifex): "Please pray with me for everyone in Sri Lanka and the Philippines as I begin my trip".
The pope left Sri Lanka for the Philippines at 10 this morning.

As reported in ABS-CBN's Bandila, included in the itenerary of the Pope are: courtesy visit to President Noynoy Aquino, holy mass at the Manila Cathedral and meeting with the families at MOA Arena (with Lyca Gairanod performing for the Pope) on January 16; travel to Tacloban and lunch with Typhoon Yolanda survivors in Palo, Leyte on January 17, Encounter with the Youth at the UST Grandstand (with Angeline Quinto, Jed Madela and Darren Espanto as performers), Meeting with religious leaders also in UST and Holy Mass at the Quirino Grandstand (with Erik Santos singing the Responsorial Psalm) on January 18. He'll be leaving for Rome on the 19th at 10 in the morning.
