Casey Anne Austria won the Miss Bicolandia 2014 title during the coronation night held Thursday, September 11, 2014, in Naga City.
I was able to witness the crowning of Casey Anne Austria as Miss
Bicolandia 2014 at the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum in Naga City. She deserved to win.
The beautiful lady from Legazpi, who was once a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), aced the final Question and Answer (Q&A) portion, giving the best response among the Top 5 finalists.
20 lovely Bicolanas competed for the crown. They were trimmed down to 10, and later to just 5.
Casey didn't even win a single special award, but she knocked them out all when she gave an impressive answer to the question: "Who would you blame if you don't win Miss Bicolandia 2014?"
She said no one is to be blamed because winning or losing is part of joining a pageant. "I've been joining pageants since I was 16, and I know that it's either I end up winning or not winning. As long as I gave my best shot, no one should be blamed. I can't blame myself, my make-up artist nor the judges, who might like me or not. I leave it up to the judges and to you people of Naga City if you make my dream come true."
It was Casey's 2nd try in Miss Bicolandia. She already joined 3 years ago, but finished only in 5th Place or 4th Runner Up.
Candidates #1 Jian Cayla Salazar from Guinobatan, Albay and #19 Louise Pauline Christelle Resoles from Naga City who both won most of the special awards were the 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively.
Named 3rd Runner Up was #8 Sarah Christine Bona from Iriga City, while 4th Runner Up was #7 Meryl Angeline King from Daet, Camarines Norte. King already won the national title Miss Tourism World Philippines in 2012.
