Afghan child actor Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada wins as Best Young Actor in the 13th Critics' Choice Awards for his outstanding portrayal as Young Hassan in the movie The Kite Runner.



Possible Oscar 2008 contender No Country for Old Men was awarded Best Picture in the 13th Annual Critics' Choice Awards held Monday, January 07, 2008.

Its lead star Daniel Day-Lewis won as Best Actor while Julie Christie of Away From Her was the Best Actress.

The movies Hairspary and Juno were also the night's big winners.
