The Miss World 2017 pageant has just been held in Sanya, China and for the 4th consecutive year, Miss World 2013 from the Philippines, Megan Young, was among the presenters.

Laura Lehmann, Philippines' bet for this year, was named as one of the Head to Head Challenge winners and also among the 5 Beauty with a Purpose winners, earning an automatic spot in the Top 40. However, she surprisingly failed to advance to the Top 15.

Crowned winner was Miss India Manushi Chhillar, a 20-year-old Medical Student, and now the 6th from her country to be crowned Miss World.

India now tied with Venezuela for having the most Miss World wins (a total of 6). This Asian country previously won in 1966, 1994, 1997, 1999 and 2000.
