Korean popstar sensation Ji Hoon Jung or most popularly known as Rain makes a Hollywood debut in the much anticipated 2008 movie Speed Racer.

In Speed Racer, Rain plays a rookie racer named Taejo Togokhan, a major character, and he stars alongside popular Hollywood actors such as Susan Sarandon (of Dead Man Walking, Enchanted) as Mom Racer, Christina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow, Casper) as Trixie, Matthew Fox (of Lost, Party of Five) as Racer X, John Goodman as Pops Racer (Evan Almighty, Monsters Inc)

Playing the title role is a rising star named Emile Hirsch.

It's a good thing they cast Asian actors in Speed Racer especially that it's based on a Japanese animated cartoon series in 1960.

Other than Rain, another Asian is in the movie. Hiroyuki Sanada, a Japanese actor who already appeared on a number of Hollywood movies such as The Last Samurai, Sunshine & Rush Hour 3, stars as Mr. Musha in Speed Racer.

Rain has indeed conquered the world, after gaining so much fame in Asia.

Not new in gaining Hollywood attention though, Rain has been named one of the 100 most influential people of 2006 by Time Magazine as well as in the 100 Most Beautiful List for 2007by People.com.

Rain definitely reigns in 2007. Aside from the Hollywood movie deal, he signed up a total of eleven (11) endorsement deals for 2007 alone. He is Unilever Europe's endorser in Asia, has six endorsements in Korea and Clear Shampoo's image model in China, Philippines and across Asia.

Truly, when God pours blessings, there is Rain.
