Typhoon Lando (Koppu) makes landfall in Aurora

Typhoon LANDO ("Koppu") has further intensified, and is now being expected to make landfall early morning today, October, 18, 2015, says PAGASA in its weather bulletin issued at 11 in the evening on Saturday. (LATEST UPDATE: Typhoon Lando already made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora at 1 AM.)

According to PAGASA, the eye of Typhoon LANDO, which has an international name of "Koppu", at 10 last night was located 135 km East Northeast of Baler in Aurora, with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 220 kph.

Bagyong LANDO is being forecast to move west at 12 kph.

Previously, the Province of Aurora was the only one under Public Storm Warning Signal #4, but now, Northern Isabela is also under that signal already.

At least 6 areas are still under Signal #3, while almost 20, including Metro Manila, have been put under Signal No. 2. Areas totaling at least 11 are under PSWS #1.
