AFC Challenge Cup 2014 finals, Azkals vs Palestine, has concluded late
last night in Maldives (early morning today Manila time).

And the winner? Sadly, it's the Palestinian team and they have advanced already to the 2015 AFC Asian Cup to be held in Australia.

It was a big moment for the Azkals to play for the first time in the finals of AFC Challenge Cup. They poured their hearts out and exerted great efforts, hoping to bring home the championship, but Palestine was playing better (though not in a far distance) and deservingly won the gold via a goal by Ashraf Nu'man in the 57th minute.

It was Nu'man's 4th goal in the whole AFC Challenge Cup 2014. He was the top goal scorer and mostly responsible for Palestine's goals
before the finals.

The goal-less Azkals lost and finished in 2nd, their highest placement ever, an improvement over the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup where they took the Bronze or 3rd Place.

Finishing in 3rd Place this time was the host team, Maldives, who defeated Afghanistan in a hilarious penalty. The video of which has become viral online. On Youtube, it has over a million views already.
