'Da Possessed' Movie - full trailer makes debut on 'It's Showtime'

Trailer for 'Da Possessed', movie starring Vhong Navarro and Solenn Heussaff has been

On 'It's Showtime' earlier, we had a first look at the full trailer of 'Da Possessed', a horror-comedy movie marking Vhong Navarro's big
screen comeback following that traumatic incident he had with Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee in January. It also marks his reunion project with director Bb. Joyce Bernal, who directed the Showtime host's past hits 'Mr. Suave', 'D' Anothers and 'Agent X44' .

Watch 'Da Possessed' trailer below if you missed it on 'Showtime':

It's another co-production between Star Cinema and Regal Films, after their mega-successful MMFF 2013 horror entry 'Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay' which starred Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff is paired for the first time with Vhong in this movie, also her first to appear in a Star Cinema movie. Her previous films were either under Regal Entertainment or GMA Films.

'Da Possessed' also stars Joey Marquez, John Lapus, Empoy Marquez, Smokey Manaloto, Matet de Leon, Beverly Salviejo, Joy Viado and introducing Aaliyah Belmoro.

It's opening in theaters on Black Saturday, April 19, with somehow a big pressure of continuing Star Cinema's impressive streak in the 2014 box-office.

From January 'til March, Star Cinema ruled the box-office via the Kim Chiu-Xian Lim 'Bride For Rent', which grossed P326.96M and the Piolo Pascual-'Starting Over Again', earning P401.36M as of March 16.

That's a tough act to follow, but after watching 'Da Possessed' trailer, I think it will be another hit from Star Cinema. The material is great, and add to that is the fact that Vhong is a much bigger star now than before.

Matching or surpassing the above grosses could be difficult (since 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' will take over 75-90% of theaters 2 weeks after the release of 'Da Possessed'), but with Star Cinema having total earnings of P728.32M already during the first quarter of the year, I'm sure it would be fine for them if their next movie hits just P100M. I think 'Da Possessed' won't be having a hard time earning more than that.
