Roel Manlangit - PGT Season 4 Grand Winner | Roel, 4th singer to win PGT!

Roel Manlangit continues the trend: the 4th male singer to become Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Grand Winner.

Sunday's Grand Finals Results Night of PGT Season 4 saw Roel Manlangit, a 13-year-old singer from Bukidnon, being crowned as the grand winner.

Once a Youtube sensation and already tasted fame even before PGT, Roel won over 5 other grand finalists such as the MP3 Band, blacklight performers Zilent Overload, cyr wheel dance performer Frankendal Fabroa, dance group D' Intensity Breakers and the Lateral Drift Productions, to take home the 2 million peso grand prize.

I already saw this happening since Roel Manlangit's audition on PGT Season 4 aired last March, singing a Whitney Houston song.

Announced in the Top 3 with Roel or the runners up were Frankendal Fabroa (2nd place) and MP3 Band (3rd place), who each won P100,000 cash prize.

The remaining 3 grand finalists received P50,000 each.

I kinda didn't expect Frankendal being part of the Top 3 and finished in 2nd. I was expecting instead D' Intensity Breakers, who consistently topped the voting during the quarterfinals and semi-finals.

PGT SEASON 4 GRAND FINALS RESULTS:

1. Roel Manlangit 30.22%
2. Frankendal Fabroa 26.07%
3. MP3 Band 17.48%
4. Zilent Overload 11.91%
5. D' Intensity Breakers 11.87%
6. Lateral Drift Productions 2.45%

Watch Roel Manlangit singing his winning piece "Pinoy Ako" (originally sung by Bamboo) after he was announced as PGT Season 4 Grand Winner:

PILIPINAS GOT SINGERS?
Since the start of PGT Season 4, the judges made it sure that they selected a variety of acts, probably with the hope of having a different and unique winner. But the voting public seemed not ready to crown a non-singing act as winner.

Past seasons' winners were all male singers: Jovit Baldivino, Marcelito Pomoy and the Maasinhon Trio.

Happy with the results?
