Why is John Lloyd Cruz taking a break from showbiz? That's the question everyone has been asking and trying to find an answer for, after ABS-CBN announced last night that John Lloyd Cruz is taking an indefinite leave of absence.
This was the full statement read on TV Patrol:
"ABS-CBN and John Lloyd Cruz have agreed for him to take an indefinite leave of absence to attend to personal matters.
"John Lloyd will be taking a break outside the country and will return to ABS-CBN after his leave of absence."
As someone who has been in the biz continuously working for 2 decades now, John Lloyd Cruz deserves this much needed break.
However, after those recent controversies he's been into with rumored girlfriend Ellen Adarna, netizens could not avoid speculating about the true reasons why he has to take a break.
Fans have showed concern for John Lloyd the past few weeks, especially after they've seen some dark, weird posts in his Instagram account (@ekomsi).
Many also believe he's going through something, after Ellen Adarna posted this picture 3 days ago, where she's shown comforting John Lloyd.
John Lloyd has also this "post and delete" habit recently, particularly with regards to his pics with Ellen, and the last photo he deleted is this one, taken a day after the Star Magic Ball 2017.
There were also rumors that the couple are vacationing together abroad. That could be true, and it's possibly one of the main reasons why he's leaving showbiz at least for now...to spend more time with Ellen in other countries.
In fact, Ellen has just shared pictures of them while in Casablanca, a city in Morocco.
Whatever John Lloyd's reasons are for leaving showbiz, let's just respect, support and wish him all the best. I know he will be well, and when he's back, nothing will change, he'll still be the great actor we know.
As he takes an indefinite leave, John Lloyd will no longer be part of the upcoming Kapamilya Fiesta World show in Barcelona, Spain on October 15. He has also reportedly stopped taping for 'Home Sweetie Home'.
