Wowowee contestant: Salamat sa Eat Bulaga!

A female contestant of ABS-CBN's Wowowee gave thanks (by mistake) to GMA 7's Eat Bulaga after winning in the show's 4-day old Coca-Cola 50 Million Family Panalo contest yesterday, August 06, 2008.

The contestant won P120,000 cash prize plus digicam and portable DVD player.

When she was about to give thanks, she mentioned Eat Bulaga instead of Wowowee.

"Maraming maraming salamat po sa Coke at saka..sa Eat Bulaga! Thank you po!"

The contestant received loud cheers from the Wowowee audience and upon realizing her mistake, she immediately corrected her lines.

"Ay...ay sa Wowowee! sa Wowowee po! sa Wowowee!"

Willie Revillame, the host, just laughed, scratched his head and defended the studio player.

"Hindi bale, okay lang. Ganon talaga. Kita n'yo ung tao. Syempre kinakabahan si Nanay. Alam nyo bakit siya nagpasalamat sa Eat Bulaga? Bakit? Nanonood sila sa 'tin ngayon."

Here's the video of the said incident: (Hurry! It might be deleted.)

If you catch the last part of the video, a man in black was shown approaching the winner. Did he get back the prize?

At least, she mentioned Coke, not Pepsi.

It's not the first time that it happened to an ABS-CBN show.

It already happened to the defunct Kapamilya noontime show Masayang Tanghali Bayan when one male contestant also thanked Eat Bulaga. The portion then was hosted by Bayani Agbayani.

"Batukan kita diyan" was Bayani's comic reaction after hearing the line.

On the longest running Sunday musical variety show ASAP, Sunshine Cruz mistakenly said 'SOP' instead of 'ASAP'.

Sunshine was not yet married then with Cesar Montano.

GMA 7 also has the same experience.

German Moreno plugged ASAP when he guested on SiS.

SiS host Carmina Villaroel "almost" had the same mistake. While reading her lines, she already pronounced "T" and was about to mention "TFC" but she immediately recovered by saying "Pinoy TV."

  1. ..and willie just said "Diyos ko po oh", and walked out in the end, which he usually doesn't do at the end of the show.
