El Gamma Penumbra, a shadow play group from the Philippines, emerged as Asia's Got Talent (AGT) winner or champion, as announced during the finale held in Singapore earlier, and was aired via AXN. The group won against 8 other grand finalists, 3 of which were also from the Philippines, for the cash prize of $100,000.

At the Asia's Got Talent grand finals, China's newly-engaged couple Gao Lin and Liu Xin (dance acrobats), Philippines' Gwyneth Dorado (singer/guitarist) and Singapore-Australia's Dance Thrilogy (tap dancers) were first to be eliminated, then on the 2nd cut, 2 dance groups got the boot: Japan's Triqstar and the Philippines' Junior New System.

Finishing in 2nd was Mongolia's musical ensemble Khusugtun Ethnic Band, while the Philippines' classical singer Gerphil Geraldine 'Fame' Flores and Thailand's The Talento came in 3rd and 4th Place respectively.

Congratulations El Gamma Penumbra and to the Filipinos for this HUGE win!

Among the guest performers at the finale was our very own Charice, who performed 'Lay Me Down' with her mentor and AGT judge David Foster.

It's amazing to know that in the Philippine version, 'Pilipinas Got Talent' (PGT), Gerphil Flores was just a semifinalist in the 1st season, while El Gamma Penumbra was only 4th Placer in Season 3, but they placed on top of Asia's Got Talent. - Mykiru.ph
