Miss Philippines-Earth 2008 Official Results

Binibining Pilipinas 2008 "Thank You" girl Karla Paula Henry from Cebu was crowned Miss Philippines-Earth 2008 Sunday night, May 11, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria in Manila.

The Fil-Canadian beauty won over 40 other ladies from around the country, including Miss Candaba Ma. Kristelle Lazaro, who was also a "Thank You" girl during the 2008 Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant last March.

Lazaro finished as Miss Philippines-Fire.

The two representatives from the US made their presence felt all throughout the competition, with Miss Fil-USA East Coast snatching the very first Miss PAGCOR International title, while the other Fil-Am girl was part of the Top 10.

Unlike in Binibining Pilipinas 2008, this year's list of 10 semi-finalists in Miss Earth Philippines was very favourable.

The 10 semi-finalists were deemed favorites by pageant enthusiasts, thus the final results, including Henry's victory, were also regarded as highly acceptable.

In fact, I was able to put Henry #1 on my list of favorites and the 10 semi-finalists were part of my Top 16.

It is indeed a big slap to the organizers of Binibining Pilipinas for not including Karla Paula Henry on their list of semi-finalists during the 2008 pageant last March when in fact, she deserves to be a titleholder.
