Shooting and bombing attacks in Paris, France and a a massive earthquake in Japan - two awful events being reported in the news as I woke up today from a wonderful sleep.

The Paris Attacks and the Japan Quake both happened on November 13, 2015, a "Friday the 13th".

What a horrible way to start our day here in the Philippines hearing such bad news, feeling sorry for the lost lives and also fearing that fellow Filipinos could be among those attacked in Paris and could be among those affected in Japan.

As reported in the news, the bombing and shooting attacks happened across Paris, one during a concert at Bataclan theater, with at least 60 people reported dead and over a hundred held hostages, while our neighbor Asian country Japan got struck again by a powerful earthquake measured at 7.0 magnitude earthquake and triggered a tsunami warning alert (US Geological Survey: 6.7 magnitude, 144 km from Makurazaki, Kagoshima, Japan).

Let's offer prayers for them please.
