AJ Ramos scandal video overshadows UAAP Finals 2014

AJ Ramos scandal video has emerged online just in time for the UAAP Season 77 Men's Basketball Finals between FEU Tamaraws and NU Bulldogs.

FEU vs NU Game 1 was already held last Saturday, with FEU
Tamaraws as the winner, 75-70, while Game 2 has just been held earlier this afternoon, won this time by NU Bulldogs, 47-62, forcing a Game 3 next week, Oct. 15.

For almost a week now, a video scandal showing a young couple, allegedly students from a prestigious university, engaging in a private act is a hot topic among netizens.

The hashtags #DLSUScandal, #ADMUScandal became trending topics on Twitter, dragging the names of certain AJ Ramos and Abby Santiaguel into the controversy.

I first learned about this scandal last weekend via Fashion Pulis' blog entry titled "Private students' sex scandal". And last Monday, the names Aj Ramos and Abby Santiaguel came out also in social media allegedly as the couple in the video.

According to one of the tweets that made them a trending topic, the guy took high school in De La Salle Zobel, and he and the girl went to Ateneo de Manila University for college.

No Ateneo and La Salle in the UAAP Finals for the first time in 21 years, and so this video scandal is making up for it? Oh no!

It's unknown how or where on the web the video started, but I feel sorry for the 2 students being linked to the video, ordinary people who have become instant celebrity for wrong reasons.

They may have committed a big mistake of recording that thing, but they absolutely don't deserve all those harsh tweets, the online bullying and the continuous spreading of the videos. They still deserve respect.

Maybe we can start deviating our attention, focus more instead to the UAAP basketball finals Game 3: Are you for FEU? Or NU? - Mykiru.ph
