Miss Universe 2016 Live Stream updates are here as the 65th Miss Universe edition takes place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, with 86 candidates competing for the crown. It's being aired live via FOX in the USA and Japan, and via authorized broadcasters in various countries.

The coronation night started with a performance from Flo Rida while the 86 contestants are being introduced one by one by co-presenter Ashley Graham.

Steve Harvey, the guy who made that major pageant fiasco from last year, is back as the main host and here he is interviewing the outgoing titleholder Pia Wurtzbach who had to thank Steve for making her the most popular Miss Universe ever.

Then after a short commercial break, the TOP 13 SEMIFINALISTS are announced in this order:
Kenya, Mary Esther Were
Indonesia, Kezia Warouw
USA, Deshauna Barber
Peru, Valeria Piazza
Panama, Keity Drennan[designations 2]
Colombia, Andrea Tovar
Philippines, Maxine Medina
Canada, Siera Bearchell
Mexico, Kristal Silva
Brazil, Raissa Santana
France, Iris Mittenaere
Haiti, Raquel Pélissier
Thailand, Chalita Suansane (fan vote winner)

Did you favorites make the Top 13 cut?

Browsing at my own list, faves like Venezuela, Nicaragua, Australia and Ukraine failed to enter Top 13. I'm glad though that I correctly guessed 9 out of 13. Not bad.

NEXT up was the Swimsuit Competition, where the the Top 9 was chosen to move into the Evening Gown round.

USA
THAILAND
FRANCE
MEXICO
KENYA
COLOMBIA
CANADA
HAITI
PHILIPPINES

Gosh, my predicted winner,
Miss Brazil, sadly has been eliminated this early. But good thing heavy faves Philippines, Thailand, France and Colombia are still there.

After that, Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Htun was awarded Best National Costume.

The Top 9 then competed in swimsuit, and they were narrowed down to just 6:

FRANCE
KENYA
COLOMBIA
PHILIPPINES
THAILAND
HAITI

The Top 6 proceeded to the Q&A portion, where they were asked relevant questions.

From 6, they're down to Final 3. And they are:

COLOMBIA
FRANCE
HAITI

Feelin' sad that no Asian beauties made it to the Top 3.

Final Q and A was next with just one common question for the Top 3 candidates. I think only France and Haiti aced that one.

Boyz II Men serenaded the Final 3 as they made their walk for the last time before the final results are revealed.

The 2nd Runner Up is Colombia!

1st Runner Up is Haiti.

And the new Miss Universe is FRANCE!!

Congrats Iris Mittenaere!
