ECE Board Exam Results for September 2014 are out! Based on the result released Thursday night by PRC, there were 1,532 passers among the 4,851 Electronics and Communications Engineering or ECE graduates who took the board exam last weekend, September 27th and 28th, 2014.

That's 31.58%. Last year, there were a higher number of examinees (4,947), and there were also a higher percentage of passers (1,707 or 34.51%). 2012 results were still much higher, 51.57%, out of 4,863 examinees.

So, probably the Board of Electronics Engineering has made the exams in the past 2 years much more difficult, resulting to a big drop in the passing percentage. In fact. the 2012 topnotcher got 97.60, while last year's topnotcher scored 88.90.

This 2014, the topnotcher or 1st Placer is a Cebuano: Philip Kee Salve from Cebu Institute of Technology. He got 92.30. Amazingly, Salve is also one of the 5 1st Placers in the Electronics Technician (ECT) Board Exam held a day after the ECE Board Exam. He placed 1st in 2 Board Exams. Wow!

All those who made it to the Top 10 are male, except for one, 8th Placer Bennyvic Joyce Esguerra, a Bicolana.
