'Showtime' to be replaced by 'It's Showtime!'

'Showtime' has ended today but only as a morning variety show, 'coz starting Feb. 6, it will have a new format, this time as a noontime variety show.

The new 'Showtime' will have additional hosts, new segments and will be titled 'It's Showtime!', taking over the noontime slot of 'Happy Yipee Yehey' which will bid goodbye on Feb. 4.

What we saw on Showtime today, wherein they paid tribute to former 'hurados' and the hosts got emotional as they thanked each other and the 'Madlang Pipol', was actually a "Thank You" episode and not a farewell episode.

If you have noticed recently, ABS-CBN is using "It's Showtime!" on its plug for all of its shows from daytime 'til primetime, to give us a hint of the new noontime show.

Aside from 'Showtime', the showbiz-oriented program 'E-Live' also had its "thank you" and also its final episode today.

Starting February 4, it will be replaced by a new show, 'Showbiz Inside Report', hosted by Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen, Carmina Villaroel and Ogie Diaz.

Jenny Syquia's daughter with actor Gabby Concepcion, Cloie Syquia Concepcion, will be guesting on ABS-CBN's ASAP 2012 tomorrow, January 29, to perform with half-sister KC Concepcion.

It will be Cloie's first ever live appearance and guesting on TV, since she came to the Philippines only last Jan. 12 and signed with Viva Artists Agency (VAA) last Thursday.

Cloie, along with mom Jenny Syquia, signed a 3-year contract with VAA, who also manages half-sister KC and her dad Gabby Concepcion.

With her ASAP appearance, does it mean Cloie will be a Kapamilya?

It's most likely to happen, since KC is there.

Also making her first ever ASAP appearance is Iza Calzado, who will be given a grand welcome as a new Kapamilya.

PBB Teen Edition Season 4 auditions continue in Iloilo, Tarlac and Naga

Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) continues its search for the next set of teen housemates.

Four (4) auditions have been held already in the country for PBB Teen Edition Season 4: two auditions in Metro Manila (Jan. 6 & 13), then in Davao (Jan. 20) and most recently, in Cebu, home of PBB Teen Edition 1 Big Winner Kim Chiu.

The Cebu audition was just held today, January 27, at the J. Centre Mall in Mandaue City with more than 4,000 auditionees.

Pictured above were the first 10 auditionees in Cebu, meaning, they were the first to line up at the venue as early as Thursday night.

After Cebu, PBB Teen Edition Season 4 auditions will continue on February 4 at SM City Iloilo, then on Feb. 10 at Metrotown Mall, Tarlac and Feb. 16 at LCC Mall Naga.

If you're planning to audition, you must be 13 to 17 years old and must be accompanied by someone 20 years old and above. Don't forget to bring your birth certificate.

PBB Teen Edition Season 4 will premiere this Summer 2012.

At the contract renewal of John Prats yesterday, it was revealed that he will be hosting PBB Teen Edition Season 4.

'Bourne Legacy' shoot at EDSA-Taft then Palawan | Another movie is filming in Manila!

'The Bourne Legacy' will have Palawan as its next location, after 3 weeks of shooting in Metro Manila.

The production team reportedly will move to El Nido, Palawan by Monday. But some reports claim that it will be on February 2.

We'll see which is the accurate date.

From what I've learned, our very own Lou Veloso will be the captain of the fishing boat which will take Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz to Palawan.

Another Filipino actor (a child actor), who plays Lou Veloso's son in the film, is also joining them on their trip to Palawan.

For now, before the shoot in Palawan, 'The Bourne Legacy' continues to film scenes in Metro Manila, this time at the busy streets of Pasay City, which started today, Jan. 27th, until the 29th.

They're spotted filming scenes somewhere Tramo, Zamora St. and at the MRT Taft Avenue station .

While 'The Bourne Legacy' is filming scenes in Pasay and is causing heavy traffic now at EDSA-Taft, another movie is also having a shoot in Manila at the same time as 'The Bourne Legacy'.

Not another Hollywood movie though, but the locally-produced movie "Unofficially Yours".

The movie's lead stars John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin were spotted shooting a scene this afternoon at the NAIA Terminal 3, which is quite near the shoot of 'The Bourne Legacy'. (Oh di ba, bongga!)

'Unofficially Yours' is already set for February 15 opening, so probably Angel and John Lloyd were shooting already the last few scenes of their movie.

Edward Norton, who's here in Manila for 'The Bourne Legacy' shoot, has a long list of celebrity fans in the Philippines.

First on the list is the pretty Anne Curtis who was one of the first Filipino celebs to tweet on Twitter that Edward Norton is her favorite actor, when she learned that he's here in Manila to shoot 'The Bourne Legacy'.

Anne was even caught sending a sweet welcome message directly to Edward's Twitter account. (Read: Anne Curtis sends tweet to 'Bourne Legacy' actor Edward Norton, targets Hollywood?)

Even her close friends, model Georgina Wilson and actress-model Solenn Heussaff, also revealed on Twitter that they consider Norton as their top favorite actor.

Gabby Concepcion's other daughter is now joining showbiz!

Cloie Syquia Concepcion has now entered the showbiz world which also houses her half-sister KC Concepcion, Papa Gabby Concepcion and Tita Sharon Cuneta.

Cloie Syquia Concepcion, age 17 and stands 5'7", is Gabby's daughter with ex-wife, former actress Jenny Syquia-Skarne.

She has just signed a 3-year contract yesterday afternoon with VIVA Artists Agency, who also manages KC Concepcion and even Gabby and Sharon.

Cloie was with her pretty mom Jenny, who's returning to showbiz and also signed a 3-year contract with Viva.

"Today we signed a 3-year contract with Viva! It was their first simultaneous mother-daughter signing. It was a return to the Viva family for me, and a first for Cloie! :)," said Jenny on Twitter (@JennySyquia).

Since they're all under Viva, it would be very interesting to see them altogether in one movie.

KC and Cloie have been spending times together, since it's only now that they've met each other.

And seeing them together would make you think that they're twin sisters 'coz they really look like each other.

KC Concepcion dedicates Rogue cover to all "beckies"

Rogue Magazine's January to February 2012 issue with KC Concepcion on the cover continues to draw mostly positive reactions, as people praise the very artistic cover and of course, the very sexy KC Concepcion.

That's why KC is so thankful for the positive comments she has been receiving for her 2nd (not 1st) cover for Rogue Magazine. (KC already posed for Rogue in February 2008.)

On Twitter, KC thanked all those who love the cover and said that she's dedicating it to all the girlies, including the "beckies".

"Thank u for loving our Rogue! I dedicate this 2all the girls & beckies out there who all keep sane & strong despite storms," she said.

KC revealed on TV Patrol last night that she was hurtin' from her breakup with Piolo Pascual when she did the pictorial for Rogue Magazine.

The Jan-Feb 2012 cover is definitely the most talked-about Rogue cover ever (followed by Anne Curtis' cover last October).

It's in the headlines of all news programs from 3 major TV networks, being reported in a positive way, unlike the other two magazine covers which made headlines early this month due to "photoshop" issue.

Browsing at all Rogue's covers posted on Facebook, KC's cover has the most "likes" and most comments.

As of 3PM today, it has 3,335 likes, 852 shares and 1,070 comments, in only 2 days after it was posted there.

Other Rogue covers have less than a thousand likes. The cover of Georgina Wilson last December has 949 likes while Anne Curtis' October 2011 cover has 891 likes.

I'm pretty sure that it would also translate into sales, and KC's cover will also become Rogue Magazine's best-selling cover ever.

'A Mother's Story' Movie Box-Office Report: P24.8 million in 2 weeks

Box Office Mojo has released the first box-office report for the year 2012 with 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' on the lead with P162.7-million after 6 weeks.

This Tom Cruise movie actually opened already in Philippine theaters last December 15 and had to stop showing on Dec. 25 to give way to the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.

'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' resumed its run only last January 8 along with other new releases such as 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows', 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked' and the local film 'A Mother's Story'.

In 2011, 'MI: Ghost Protocol' already earned P114.18M then this 2012, it collected P48.52M.

'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' had a total gross of P55.82M in 2 weeks while 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked' had P50.49M.

The Star Cinema-TFC film 'A Mother's Story' meanwhile earned P24.82-million after 2 weeks (15 days) since its January 8 release.

The movie, which launches comedian Pokwang as a drama actress, was rumored as a "flop" in the box-office, but with 2-week gross of P24.82M, it's quite just fine and not a "flop", considering that no other big stars are part of the film and not a big-budgeted one.

The box-office report is only up to January 22, so it still has few more days of unreported earnings.

The Hollywood film 'Underworld Awakening', is also dominating the Philippine Box Office. The movie opened only last Friday, January 20, and after 3 days, it already has P37.95M gross earnings.

New releases this week include 'J. Edgar', 'The Darkest Hour', 'Contraband', 'Haywire' and the Star Cinema/SkyLight Films movie 'My Cactus Heart' (starring Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim).

'Bourne Legacy' production team got robbed in Manila on their 14th shooting day?

'The Bourne Legacy' Manila shoot marks its 14th day today, January 25, exactly two (2) weeks since the filming began in January 11.

Everything has been going fine and flowing smoothly since they started shooting here, except that the production team allegedly got robbed while filming at one location today.

According to a report from GMA's '24 Oras' earlier, the 'Bourne Legacy' production's 3 rolls of electric cables with estimated amount of over 100-thousand pesos reportedly were stolen during the shoot today at the Navotas City Fish Port Complex.

Really? That's so shameful! It's definitely more fun in the Philippines, isn't it?

The incident is only 2 days after a group of foreign tourists also lost their belongings in Binondo, Manila last Monday.

As reported on GMA's "24 Oras" last night, it happened while the tourists were dining at a fast food chain in Binondo, when a man at the other table stole their baggage. The incident was caught on CCTV.

The foreign tourists visited Binondo to witness the grandeous Chinese New Year celebration there, which they documented on video.

Stolen things, which reportedly cost a total of $10,000 or close to 500-thousand pesos, include cameras and the video captures of the places they've visited in the Philippines. (LATEST UPDATE: The stolen baggage was already returned to the owner on Thursday, January 26.)

After Navotas Fish Port, the Bourne Legacy's next location will be in Intramuros then at Taft Avenue, and in Palawan by the end of the month.

KC Concepcion goes daring in Rogue Magazine's January to February 2012 issue.

This latest Rogue mag cover shows KC Concepcion in her sexiest state ever, doing a back pose as KC carries a snake and a severed head of a man.

And the said cover has instantly become controversial the moment it was released earlier today.

It has become one of the netizens' favorite topics this day, as they make own interpretations of the cover.

KC Concepcion had a very controversial breakup late last year with hunk actor Piolo Pascual, and according to some netizens, the severed head in the Rogue magazine cover looks like Piolo and the snake allegedly symbolizes the 3rd party in their breakup.

They also gave interpretations on KC's back pose, but I'd rather not write it down here. (Lol. It's kinda "bastos".)

KC Concepcion's Rogue cover invited further discussions among online users when Mark Nicdao, photographer of the said cover, posted on Twitter that they welcome any interpretations of the cover.

"The cover is open for interpretation. Up to you what you want to see," said Nicdao on Twitter (@marknicdao).

Rogue Magazine has also revealed on its Twitter account (@rougeonline) that the snake in the cover is a python owned by KC herself and is named as Coco.

This is how Rogue gives credits for the cover:

Iza Calzado is officially now with ABS-CBN (Kapamilya Network), ending endless speculations of her network transfer since December 2011.

Why did GMA 7 let go of this very brilliant actress?

As seen in the photos taken earlier today, Iza Calzado signed a 3-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, where she's set to do a teleserye, MMK appearances, a reality TV show (The Biggest Loser Doubles: Pinoy Edition) and a Star Cinema movie with John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo.

Everything's going fast as Iza, after the contract signing, immediately had a meeting with the production team of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) where she'll star in an episode, her first appearance in the country's longest drama anthology.

It's actually just a comeback for Iza, 'coz her first ever movie was with ABS-CBN/Star Cinema film "Milan" where she won Breakthrough Performance by an Actress trophy at the 2005 Golden Screen Awards.

Iza is just one of the many former Kapuso stars who have transferred to the Kapamilya Network in recent months.

Ahead of her were Janice de Belen, Paulo Avelino, Richard Gomez, Patrick Garcia and Carmina Villaroel.

Marvin Agustin is also returning to ABS-CBN but as a freelancer.

There are reports saying that Carla Abellana's camp is negotiating with ABS-CBN for the actress' possible transfer to the network.

And from what I've known from a source, Maxene Magalona reportedly is also planning to switch networks.

I'm not sure yet if Maxene wants to transfer to ABS-CBN or to TV5, but reportedly, she already wants to be released as talent of GMA 7.

It happened during Katy Perry's "California Dreams: Live in Manila" concert held last night, January 22, 2012, at the SM Mall Of Asia (MOA) Concert Grounds in Pasay City, Philippines.

Katy asked a male hottie from the audience to come up the stage and take his shirts off then she gave a long sweet kiss.

And the shirtless guy who Katy Perry kissed happened to be Ivan Dorschner, 5th Big Placer in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus. So lucky!

Ivan, who's actually a mixture of Filipino-Irish-German, was even luckier when he got to kiss Katy Perry back. Whew!

The Philippines was only the 2nd Asian country to be part of Katy's California Dreams Tour (CDT).

That means, Ivan Dorschner was only the 2nd lucky Asian guy to get kissed by Katy Perry in her tour.

But over-all, Ivan was the 125th guy already, since the California Dreams Tour took place in 125 venues from around the world.

Katy picking a boy from the audience and give him a kiss was a part of the CDT concert in any city/country where it was staged.

"Btw, I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as a part of my show for all 125 tour dates. Simmer down now," Katy Perry posted on Twitter.

It's Katy who's actually the real lucky and not those who got kissed by her 'coz she was able to kiss 125 different young men from around the world.

Maybe Ivan can still take pride to be the last guy who got kissed by Perry, 'coz the Philippines was the final stop of the CDT already, as confirmed by Perry herself also on Twitter.

"Thanks for an AMAZING FINAL CDT date Manila! Sorry to keep u waiting earlier...had to solvd a security issue, but THE SHOW WENT SPLENDIDLY!," she tweeted.

Valenzuela City Councilor and 'Wil Time Bigtime' host Shalani Soledad, 31, got married to boyfriend for 6 months, Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo, 44, in a church wedding ceromony at the St. Benedict Church at Ayala Westgrove in Silang, Cavite.

The wedding reception followed at the Evoliving Center Dockside in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

As expected, Shalani's ex-boyfriend Pres. Noynoy Aquino or PNoy failed to show up at the occasion even if he was invited to attend.

Intriguingly, Wil Time Bigtime host Willie Revillame also wasn't there.

Beauty queen Wendy Tabusalla is facing eviction again from the Big Brother house.

It was the 7th nomination tonight on Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Unlimited with Wendy Tabusalla getting the most votes (11) from her fellow housemates.

This is already Wendy's 4th time to be nominated for eviction and now
becomes the 2nd most nominated housemate of PBB Unlimited, next to evicted housemate Tol Chua, which was nominated 5 times.

'My Binondo Girl' Part 2 or a movie? What's next for Kim Chiu and Xian Lim?

ABS-CBN's 'My Binondo Girl' had its successful 'dragon finale' last night, January 20, as many viewers watched to know how the love story of Jade (Kim Chiu) and Andy (Xian Lim) will end in the soap.

And just like in most Pinoy soap operas, it also wrapped up in a wedding between Jade and Andy, which was of course a delightful ending for the fans of Kim and Xian loveteam.

As wished by the fans, Jade's father, Papa Chen, played by Richard Yap has survived from lung cancer and lived happily ever after with Zheny (Ai-Ai delas Alas).

For many reasons, 'My Binondo Girl' was truly one of the most successful and most memorable soaps on ABS-CBN.

It was the launching pad for Richard Yap who because of his 'Papa Chen' role is now the newest Kapamilya heartthrob and is being dubbed as 'Papa ng Bayan'. (Read: 'Papa Chen' Richard Yap, new Kapamilya heartthrob)

This is for sure the start of a bright showbiz career for 'Papa Chen', though he said on Twitter that he doesn't know yet what ABS-CBN is planning for him after his debut soap. (Maybe he's keeping it a secret.)

It was also in 'My Binondo Girl' where Jolo Revilla shone as an actor (for the first time). He delivered very well his role as the admirable Onyx, that even his rumored girlfriend Kris Bernal loved it so much.

In an exchange of tweet with her on Twitter, the Kapuso star (yes, she also watched 'My Binondo Girl') is hoping she could also find someone like Onyx.

"@mykiru sana may katulad pa ni Onyx!!! :))," said Kris (@soKRISme) in reply to my tweet.

And of course, the soap gave birth to (you choose) Jandy or KimXi, the loveteam of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, which was well-received by the fans despite Kim coming from a very successful loveteam with Gerald Anderson.

Lots of projects are already lined up for Kim and Xian after 'My Binondo Girl', such as a movie and a new teleserye.

Some fans who were so much attached to the characters of Jade and Andy are wishing for a Part 2 of 'My Binondo Girl' or a movie version of the soap, while others want a brand new teleserye or movie for the two.

There are fans who are also open with the idea of putting together Kim and Xian, and Kim's former loveteam partner Gerald Anderson in one project.

Whatever it is, it's definitely goin' to be a hit.

Gretchen Barretto has already reacted on the issue that her teleserye 'Alta' has been shelved.

In 'Alta', Gretchen will star for the first time with Angelica Panganiban and KC Concepcion.

At PeopleAsia Magazine's 'People of the Year' Awards held Thursday night, TV Patrol reporter Mario Dumaual got the chance to ask Gretchen about the status of her new soap.

She said, "I want to fall in love with my project. Gusto ko, kapag in love ako sa project, I know that people will fall in love with a project. Hangga't hindi ko yun mabibigay, ayaw kong gumawa ng proyektong hindi tama para sa tao."

What a vague answer!

Analyzing La Greta's statement, it seems 'Alta' has been put on-hold but definitely will still push through ('coz she wants to fall in love with the project first.)

It's been more than a year already since 'Alta' was offered to Gretchen.

She gave her "yes" to the project in September 2010, while she was still committed to the fashion-serye 'Magkaribal' which earned her a Best Actress recognition at the 25th PMPC Star Awards for Television last October.

2011 has passed, but taping hasn't started yet for the much-delayed teleserye.

American Idol Season 11 had its 2-night premiere, January 18 and 19, 2012, with Steve Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson returning as judges and still hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

The American Idol Season 11 premiere episodes only showed who made it to the Hollywood round from the auditions held in North Charleston, South Carolina and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, but weeks before the premiere, some 'Idol' fan sites have already leaked the contestants who made it to American Idol Season 11's Top 42 list.

One of those sites is VoteForTheWorst.com which has the spoiler list of the Top 42 contestants, those who made it to the "Sing-For-Your-Life" round.

It's the round after the Las Vegas round (Top 60) and before the Top 24 is revealed.

And we, here in the Philippines, have something to get so much excited about as 16-year-old Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez (photo) from San Diego, California reportedly made it to the Top 42 (and even in the Top 24).

Sarah Geronimo's solo show 'Sarah G Live!' replacing 'Gandang Gabi Vice'

Sarah Geronimo will finally have her own solo show, a weekly musical program, soon on ABS-CBN.

Entitled 'Sarah G Live', Sarah Geronimo's
show will premiere February 19, that's a Sunday, reportedly replacing 'Gandang Gabi Vice' (GGV), which is a consistent top-rating program.

That's what PEP's @scoopbox posted on Twitter last night, but there's no official confirmation yet from ABS-CBN and from Vice Ganda himself if GGV is
indeed going off-air and will be replaced by 'Sarah G Live!'.

Will this just ignite the rumored feud between Sarah Geronimo and Vice Ganda?

If you notice, Sarah never guested on Gandang Gabi Vice since it premiered last May, even if Sarah had a movie to promote, 'Won't Last A Day Without You' with Gerald Anderson.

Sarah also never promoted the movie on Vice's other show, "Showtime". But Gerald did, just him and no Sarah.

The 'silent war' between Vice Ganda and Sarah reportedly stemmed from Sarah not granting Vice's request to guest her on Gandang Gabi Vice during its first few episodes.

That probably explains why it was so easy for Vice to make fun of Sarah when couple Cristine Reyes and Rayver Cruz guested on Gandang Gabi Vice last December.

Remember that episode? The one with a Sarah G impersonator singing 'Won't Last A Day Without You' for Cristine and Sarah's ex-bf Rayver?

Sarah also hasn't guested yet on Kris TV, hosted by Vice's best friend Kris Aquino.

During the promo for 'Won't Last A Day Without You', it was only Gerald and Mr. Joey De Leon who guested on Kris' show.

Anne Curtis was caught on Twitter sending a tweet to Hollywood actor Edward Norton.

42-year-old Norton of the movies "Primal Fear", "American History X" and "The Incredible Hulk" to name a few is reportedly here in the Philippines to shoot for the film "The Bourne Legacy".

But sources say that he's yet to arrive on January 22.

That's why 26-year-old Anne Curtis, Philippines' newest Box-Office Queen, an award-winning actress and a platinum-selling music artist, took the chance (everyone has this chance actually) of sending a tweet to Edward on Twitter, welcoming him to the Philippines.

According to Anne, Norton is her favorite actor. Using her Twitter handle annecurtissmith, Anne posted, "@EdwardNorton You're one of my fave actors ever! Hope you enjoy you're shoot here in the Philippines!"

It's my first time to hear that Norton is her favorite actor. Is it just because Norton is here and now he becomes Anne's favorite?

Is she making "papansin" and hoping she might land a Hollywood role?

Aside from being an actor, Edward Norton is also a director. He directed "Keeping The Faith" which starred himself and Ben Stiller. Who knows, if Anne gets Edward's attention, he might bring her to Hollywood or thru his influence, help Anne land a part in 'Bourne Legacy'. Pwede!

But I believe though that Edward is really Anne's favorite 'coz she has been following Norton's Twitter account for a long time already, long before he was reported to come to the Philippines.

Edward is really a great actor, as his first movie 'Primal Fear' in 1996 already earned him an Oscar nomination. Then another Oscar nod came after 2 years for his 4th film 'American History X'.

And probably it's Edward who will be flattered to receive a tweet from Anne, who has so much more followers than him on Twitter. Edward has 1.19-million followers while Anne has 2.2-million.

Anne is also among the Top 200 most-followed Twitter users in the WORLD, while Edward is nowhere even in the Top 500.

Unfortunately, Norton hasn't replied yet to her tweet.

Carmina Villaroel, Patrick Garcia, Paulo Avelino all want to work with Kim Chiu

Carmina Villaroel is the latest star from GMA 7 to transfer to ABS-CBN and she's also the latest to express intention of working with Kapamilya Primetime Princess Kim Chiu.

In August, when 'StarStruck' Avenger Paulo Avelino moved to ABS-CBN, he said that among the female leading ladies in the Kapamilya Network, it's Kim Chiu who he wants to be paired with.

When asked why he chose Kim Chiu, Paulo said "Aside sa galing niya sa pag-arte, siyempre ang kagandahan niya at isa siyang mabait na artista," as reported on ABS-CBNNews.com.

Then Patrick Garcia, who returned as a Kapamilya last December, also said via Push.com.ph that he wants to star in a project with Kim Chiu.

Aside from Patrick, another returning Kapamilya, this time an actress, also wants to work with Kimmy.

Instead of citing a male Kapamilya like Piolo Pascual or some other, Carmina Villaroel cited Kim's name when asked the same question as that of Paulo and Patrick.

"Gusto ko si Kim Chiu kasi maraming nagsasabi na magkahawig daw kami," Carmina said during her contract signing with ABS-CBN last Monday.

Big Brother Brazil is being rocked by a rape scandal involving two of its housemates: Monique Amin and Daniel Echaniz

Big Brother Brazil housemate Daniel Echaniz, a 31-year-old "black" professional model, has been accused of raping fellow housemate Monique Amin, a 23-year-old student.

The intimate moment between Daniel Echaniz and Monique Amin while under the blanket was watched live by millions of Brazilian viewers, video of which has already been uploaded on Youtube.

The incident happened early morning Sunday, January 15, 2012, after the housemates had a drinking party. (Our very own Pinoy Big Brother also had a drinking party that day.)

That's only 5 days after all 16 housemates have entered Big Brother Brasil house last January 10. (Mister Brasil Mundo 2010 Jonas Sulzbach is among the housemates. He reportedly has a webcam video scandal.)

Wow! Can you imagine that? Daniel and Monique have only known each other for 5 days, yet they already did that inside the house. Isn't it too fast?

The Daily Mail reports that the police has been alerted of a possible rape inside the Big Brother house and is now conducting an investigation.

Daniel Echaniz allegedly took advantage of the alcohol-fueled and unconscious Monique Amin, which can be classified as rape, but Amin, when asked about what happened, there was no rape and it was consensual.

Big Brother Brazil allegedly was given an option by the police, either to remove Daniel Echaniz or cancel the show, as investigation continues for the alleged rape.

The show opted to eject Daniel for a serious violation of the house rules. (In Pinoy Big Brother, it's Forced Eviction).

Echaniz left the Big Brother Brazil on Monday, January 16, a day before the 1st Eviction, where Echaniz was not among the nominees.

But his misbehaviour caused him to become the first housemate to exit Big Brother Brazil Season 12.

While "under the blanket" thing is very common in some Big Brother versions worlwide, it's I think the first "rape" incident that ever happened in any version of Big Brother (if it was indeed a rape).

Luis Manzano will be hosting Kapamilya Deal or No Deal when it returns for a new season on ABS-CBN.

Luis replaces Queen of Game Shows Kris Aquino, who hosted the previous 3 seasons of Kapamilya Or No Deal.

It was actually Kris who accidentally announced on her show, Kris TV, this morning that Luis Manzano will be the new Kapamilya Deal or No Deal host, probably to show the viewers she's not bitter that she lost the hosting job.

"Okay lang talaga sa 'kin na 'di na ako ang host. Kasi nga may soap ako ['Kailangan Kita'] with Anne Curtis and start na kami ng taping sa February 17. 'Di ba sabi ko naman sa inyo, ngayong 2012 I'm an actress" she said, followed by her signature laugh.

This marks the first time that Luis Manzano will be hosting a game show without Billy Crawford.

Luis and Billy co-hosted the short-lived game show 'Panahon Ko 'To: Ang Game Show ng Buhay Ko'. (They also hosted together 'Pilipinas Got Talent', a talent search program.)

A multi-awarded TV host, it's actually Luis' first show on ABS-CBN where he will be hosting solo (he's the only host and no co-hosts.)

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited becomes exciting again, thanks to Pinoy Big Brother housemates Tin, Kevin, Slater, Divine, Wendy and Carlo.

PBB Unlimited was already becoming uninteresting, but not until when the drinking party was aired last Sunday, January 15.

"Ang wild ng mga housemates!" says Diane, a friend who texted me last Sunday while watching PBB.

The episode featured the drinking party of the Top 14 PBB Unlimited housemates, and after enough dosage of alcohol, they had a kissing dare game where some housemates shared hot kisses.

Housemates who kissed each other on the lips were Tin Patrimonio and Kevin Fowler, Slater Young and lesbian Divine Maitland-Smith, and finally, Carlo Romero and Wendy Tabusalla.

The terms "Tin and Kevin", "Slater and Divine" and "Wendy and Carlo" all made it to Twitter's trending topics in the Philippines that night, and "Tin and Kevin" also trended worldwide, at #9.

Carlo and Wendy actually kissed the longest among the 3 pairs, and then later kissed again the 2nd time.

Carlo also kissed with Deniesse Joaquin on the later part of their drinking party.

It was just fine. It looked so exciting, except that Wendy is very much committed.

Wendy was heavily criticized by netizens
because she has a boyfriend waiting outside. He's Lance Howard (photo), a model who looks so much hotter than Carlo.

Janelle Manahan is already aware that the 2nd video of her with late boyfriend Ramgen Bautista aka Ram Revilla has already made its debut online.

The 2nd video which shows Ramgen Bautista and Janelle Manahan inside the bedroom is 4-minute long and a concerned fan has already alerted Janelle about it.

On Twitter, she posted a message to Janelle telling her about the newly-leaked 2nd video of her and Ramgen.

Janelle replied to the fan and asked for the links to the new video. "Can I please have the link to it so I can report it? Thank you!"

She further asked what kind of scene is being shown in the 2nd video. "What kind of scene is it? But you're certain? Thank you for the information."

The fan later described to Janelle that the 2nd video shows her in bed with Ramgen.

Janelle Manahan and Ramgen Bautista's private video has a Part 2 and this time, they're in the bedroom.

Janelle Manahan admitted on "The Bottomline" last Saturday that she and slain boyfriend Ramgen Bautista did a couple of videos in 2007.

That was during the first year of their relationship, and according to Janelle Manahan, they kept the videos in CDs and in their laptop for 2 years.

They finally destroyed all the copies in 2009 after video collections of Hayden Kho Jr leaked on the internet, probably they were worried that it might also happen to them.

But it seems like the videos weren't deleted completely as copies of those have been uploaded online.

Janelle said in her 'Bottomline' interview that Ramgen's family, who is now in possession of the laptop and who she suspects as responsible for the leak, possibly was able to retrieve the deleted videos from the laptop's hard drive.

She also made an appeal to whoever has copies of the video not to watch and share them in respect to Ramgen. "Respeto na lang po sa namatay. 'Wag na nating tangkilikin yung video kasi wala naman kayong mapupulot na maganda. It doesn't make you a better person."

Despite the appeal, a Part 2 video of Ramgen Bautista and Janelle Manahan, this time in the bedroom, is also making rounds now, reportedly not just only on the internet but also in cellphones.

The Ramgen and Janelle bedroom video, according to some Twitter users who have watched the 2nd video, runs for 4 minutes and exposes Janelle more when compared to the first video.

Cebu City's Sinulog Festival 2012 celebration culminated with a Grand Sinulog Parade today, kicking off at 9AM and ending (with a fireworks display) at 7PM.

Thousands of Cebuanos and tourists gathered at the streets to witness the Grand Sinulog Parade which featured colorful floats and various dance contingents.

'It's More Fun In The Philippines' indeed for Janelle Manahan when asked if it's still more fun in the Philippines after the murder of her boyfriend Ramgen Bautista and after her private video with him leaked on the internet.

Janelle Manahan actually answered a very funny (irrelevant) question by a PUP student who was given a chance to ask her on "The Bottomline with Boy Abunda" last night.

He asked, "Can you still say that it's more fun in the Philippines after the scandal and the murder happened?"

(Lol. Who would want to be murdered and be feasted by people with your steamy video? It's definitely not fun.)

Probably he was sent there by the Department Of Tourism (DOT) to ask that question to Janelle, but this Bicolana woman still answered his question, left with no choice but to say "yes" and agree that it's still more fun in the Philippines.

"Of course naman, I'm proud to be a Filipino and mahal ko ang Pilipinas," said Janelle.

Maybe she considered the positive things she has. The murder and the scandal were just two against the many good things that happened and will happen to her. (And that's something we should learn from her.)

Janelle is truly a brave and intelligent woman as she answered all questions thrown during her tell-all interview on The Bottomline.

When asked if she was a battered girlfriend, she said yes. And it was within 2 years, but no longer during the last year of her relationship with Ramgen.

On the question about having more videos with Ramgen other than the one leaked on the internet, Janelle admitted that she and Ramgen have
more private videos which they did in 2007 until 2009.

They burnt it on CDs but when the Hayden Kho - Katrina Halili scandal came out in 2009, they destroyed all copies and also deleted the files from the laptop.

Janelle made an appeal to everyone not to watch and share the videos.
"Respeto na lang po dun sa namatay, kahit 'wag na sa 'kin. 'Wag na nating tangkilikin yung video kasi wala naman kayong mapupulot na maganda. It doesn't make you a better person."

Boy Abunda also asked her if she has someone from the Bautista family who she still trusts. She bravely answered, "No one!"

It's unclear though if she meant the whole Bautista family including Ramgen's half-brother Sen. Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr or only Ramgen's family (his siblings and his mom Genelyn Magsaysay).

Sen. Bong's son, actor Jolo Revilla was watching The Bottomline's episode on TV last night. He even tweeted, "@Janelle_Manahan watching you right now... :-) be strong! #justice4ramgen"

Janelle later tweeted in reply to Jolo, "@jolorevilla Thanks jolo! Super thank you sa inyong lahat for being so supportive towards finding #justice4ramgen."

The United Football League (UFL) Philippines 2011-2012 Season has opened today, January 14, 2012, with 4 kickoff games held in 2 venues and were aired live AKTV on IBC13.

First game under Division 1 was held 3PM at the Rizal Memorial Stadium with Kaya Futbol Club winning over the Philippine Air Force F.C., 1-0, goal scored by Eric Dagroh.

Then the 2nd game followed at 6PM between Loyola Meralco Sparks Futbol Club and Green Archers United.

PH's Hottest Man of 2011 Phil Younghusband and brother James Younghusband both played for the Loyola Meralco Sparks F.C.

Scoring the first goal for his team, actually the first two goals of the game, was Phil who made the first goal at the 35th minute of the game and another one thru a penalty kick right before the 1st half ended.

Another goal for Meralco Sparks was made during the 2nd half by Byeong Yeol Jeong.

Green Archers meanwhile managed to narrow down Loyola Meralco Sparks' lead to just 1, by scoring two goals at 67th minute by Reynaldo Villareal and at 77th minute by Arnie Pasinabo Jr.

Sarah Geronimo's own version of JayR's "Bakit Pa Ba" has already entered Pinoy Myx Countdown, the Top 20 countdown of the most requested OPM videos on MYX music channel.

For the latest Pinoy MYX countdown released just today, January 14, Sarah Geronimo's "Bakit Pa Ba" almost clinched the top spot from Slapshock's "Ngayon Na", which climbed from #5 last week to #1 this week.

"Bakit Pa Ba" debuted at #2 and by next week, expect it on top of the chart. That's for sure.

Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad took a leave from her hosting job on TV5's 'Wil Time Bigtime' to prepare for her wedding which is set this January 22, 2012.

On Thursday episode of the show, exactly 10 days before the wedding, Shalani Soledad was given a "Despedida de Soltera" and was very emotional as she bid goodbye to her co-hosts.

Last Wednesday, he tweeted, "Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out. Let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see."

He even called Manny a "punk" in his next tweet.

"My Jail Sentence was pulled back because the date was locked in. Step Up Punk."

In a recent interview, Manny Pacquiao has already accepted Mayweather's challenge, not on May 5 though but on a later date.

According to the Associated Press reports, Manny's camp want a larger venue than the MGM Grand Arena, a 17,000-seater in Las Vegas where Mayweather is scheduled to fight.

A 45,000-seater arena is currently under construction in Las Vegas but it will be completed late May.

Coco Martin topbills ABS-CBN's 'Walang Hanggan', which will hit TV screens starting Monday, January 16, 2012.

This will be Coco's 4th primetime soap already on ABS-CBN and this time, he's being paired with a brand new, so fresh and young leading lady Julia Montes.

Julia is only 16 years old while Coco is, (almost twice of Julia's age) 30 years old.

But admit it, they have great chemistry, as seen on the trailer.

They complement each other, as Julia already looks like a grown-up woman
while Coco is baby-faced and looks like he's only 16.

But the fans have one thing they keep on worrying about: the kissing scene between Coco and Julia.

'My Cactus Heart' movie teaser trailer has been released! I just saw 'My Cactus Heart' movie trailer tonight while watching Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited.

And I just so loved it!

I've been ignoring this movie, which stars Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim, since the first time I heard about its filming last year.

It just didn't excite me at all, probably because of the movie's previous title 'Basted', which I think is a boring title for a movie, much more boring if it's a romantic comedy film.

But after watching its trailer a while ago, I'm already so excited to watch in theaters on January 25.

The trailer is very catchy and already funny especially with Maja Salvador's "Philippines o Worldwide" line.

Who would have thought that 44-year-old showbiz newbie Richard Yap, very much married with 2 kids, can still make it and easily achieve 'hearththrob' status in a network already crowded with good-looking, talented young men?

Thanks to his cute Chinito looks and convincing 'Papa Chen' role in
"My Binondo Girl" that he consistently charms primetime viewers with ease.

His scenes with Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, who plays Zeny in the show, effortlessly bring 'kilig' to the viewers, in the same level with the
scenes of Jade and Andy, played by Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

Have you seen Papa Chen and Zeny's beach scene last night? Wow! That was their most 'kilig' moment in the show.

Though it was a bit disappointing that Papa Chen didn't take his shirt off as Mama Zeny gamely showed bod in a swimsuit, he still looked hot with his muscular bod, even with his clothes on.

Before landing on Papa Chen role, Richard Yap, who's a pure Chinese by the way, was a marketing manager and also a commercial model, appearing in some of Chowking's TV commercials.

What's next for him after 'My Binondo Girl', which will already air
its finale on January 20? (Hope his ailing character won't die there.)

his showbiz career and ready for anything that will come his way.

And that is both now having 1 million followers on Twitter, and they both hit that mark the same month, January 2012.

KC whose Twitter username is kc_concepcion reached the million-mark right after the New Year.

The "X Factor Philippines" host now has 1,025,609 followers.

Singer Angeline Quinto was injured after the stage fall on ASAP 2012 last Sunday.

On Kris TV's episode this morning, January 10, Angeline shared to Kris Aquino that she got hurt and sustained minor injuries from the fall.

"Kumanta po ako nang duguan," said Angeline, who's now wearing a very sexy short dress unlike the very long one that she wore during her stage fall on ASAP.

Angeline also admitted that she felt so embarrassed of what happened and cried buckets of tears in her dressing room.

ASAP host Gary Valenciano, who's also guesting with Angeline on Kris

Angeline Quinto fell on the stage during a live performance on ASAP 2012's episode yesterday, January 8.

The mishap happened while Angeline was singing the Aegis hit "Mahal Na Mahal Kita" in front of a live audience and as seen live on national TV.

Blame her very long dress! Angeline stepped on her dress, tumbled and fell on her knees. Ouch!

Feeling so embarrassed, Angeline reportedly cried backstage after the incident.

While some people laughed at her, many have admired Angeline's professionalism after she fell on stage.

This incident probably would help bring in more ticket sales for Angeline Quinto: Live in Sinulog concert on Saturday, January 14, at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.

Princess of All Media Anne Curtis still reigns as the most-followed local celebrity on Twitter now with over 2 million followers.

Anne is so far the only one from the Philippines to have
achieved that mark and the first to enter the Top 200 worlwide ranking, where she's currently at

Six (6) other celebs from the Philippines have also reached the million mark.

That's exactly two (2) weeks after the Azkals Alyansa faced CF Internacional de Madrid (CFIM) yesterday at the same venue.

CF Madrid won the match, 3-1.

The Azkals vs CF Madrid football match was held to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Sendong.

From a target of P1.5M, the charity game was able to raise P1.9M, according to the Philippine Red Cross who will take charge of the fund.

The upcoming match of the Azkals vs South Korea's Incheon Citizen Football Club
(ICFC) is also for the benefit of Sendong victims.

Jeremy Renner, lead actor of 'The Bourne Legacy', celebrated his 41st birthday here in the Philippines yesterday, January 7, 2012.

How did Renner celebrate his birthday in the Philippines?

A Twitter photo from @aminaaranaz shows that Jeremy Renner celebrated it in the country's top tourist spot, the beautiful Boracay.

Jeremy was spotted enjoying Boracay (Station 1) and these 3 lucky ladies were able to take a photo with him.

We don't know exactly how he spent his evening there in Bora?

Ahmm lemme guess, he had a chill-out in a bar? A sexy Filipina bar girl spent a night with him? Hmmm...

Whatever it is, I'm so sure that by morning today, Renner, who's very much single, can already say, "It's more fun in the Philippines!"

His bestfriend Ben Affleck probably is full of envy now. (or jealous?)

Seriously, 2-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner ('The Hurt Locker', 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol') is currently in the Philippines to film some scenes for his movie "The Bourne Legacy" where he plays the lead role Aaron Cross.

A day before his birthday, a fan named Mia Carmella Bontol shared a Twitter photo of her and Renner at the Peninsula Hotel Manila (or Manila Pen) in Makati where the actor is staying (He's reportedly
checked-in at the 7th floor of the hotel.)

According to Mia, who's from Cebu and is only visiting her brother in
Manila, she was at the same bar as Renner in the said hotel.

And so she took the opportunity to have a one night stand with him, I mean a one-night picture-taking moment in a standing position with him. She's so lucky!

Despite being tired, Renner gamely granted the fan's request to have a photo with him. "He did say he was tired, but was still game enough to have his picture taken with us," said Mia on Twitter (@miacarmella).

She described Renner as nice, super kind and approachable.

'The Bourne Legacy' Philippine shoot starts Wednesday, January 11, in the country's capital Manila and will continue until February 15 in different locations.

Aside from Jeremy Renner, also part of the film are Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz ('The Mummy', 'The Constant Gardener') and 2-time Oscar nominee Edward Norton ('Primal Fear', 'The Incredible Hulk'), under the direction of Tony Gilroy, director of the 2007 Oscars Best Picture nominated film 'Michael Clayton' (which also gave Gilroy an Oscar Best Director nod).

It's set to hit worldwide theaters August 3, 2012.

Tyron Perez, who died last December 29, had the chance to work with Angel Locsin, whose ex-boyfriend died also on Dec. 29 eight (8) years ago.

Tyron Perez was one of the soldier vampires on 'Imortal', Angel Locsin's teleserye with John Lloyd Cruz on ABS-CBN aired from October 2010 to April 2011.

It wasn't one of Tyron's memorable roles, but I'm sure he was privileged to be part of the show and got to work with Lloydie and Angel.

Both Angel and Tyron switched networks, from GMA 7 and ABS-CBN, but they never had the chance to work together in a show while they were still with GMA.

Tyron, 26, allegedly committed suicide last Dec. 29, the same day Angel Locsin's ex-boyfriend Miko Sotto died 8 years ago. (Read: Tyron Perez dead on Dec. 29 - death anniversary of Miko Sotto)

Angel was among those celebrities who first posted on Twitter about Tyron's death.

According to her, she was shocked to hear that her 'Imortal' co-star has passed away.

"RIP Tyron Perez.. Nakakagulat. Condolence po sa pamilya niya..," tweeted Angel (@143redangel) on December 29, the night Tyron was found dead inside his car.

Tyron was already laid to rest Thursday, January 5, in his hometown, Concepcion, Tarlac.

Aside from "Imortal", among Tyron's shows on ABS-CBN were 'Momay' and 'Mula Sa Puso'.

Four (4) housemates have been evicted tonight on Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited's 5th Eviction Night.

Among the nominated UnliDay housemates (Team Wayuk), "Mom of Steel" Luz McClinton aka Mama Luz was the one who got evicted while "Driver Sweet Father" Tol Chua and "Bay Diskarte" Kigoy Abarico were the evictees from the UnliNight Housemates (Team High Voltage), after they got the lowest number of text and online votes.

Big Brother also made a surprising announcement when he gave beauty queen Kim De Guzman from Team Wayuk a "forced eviction", for a reason to be fully disclosed on tomorrow's episode.

Had it been she wasn't forcibly evicted, Kim could have stayed longer inside the house and possibly land in the Big 4.

Based on the popularity poll that's being conducted here on this blog, Kim is among the top favorite housemates on PBB Unlimited.

TV host Pia Guanio is 5 weeks pregnant, as announced by Pia herself via GMA 7's noontime variety show 'Eat Bulaga!' yesterday, January 5, 2012.

Pregnant Pia Guanio, who's married to businessman Steve Mago, was visibly ecstatic when she announced her pregnancy to her co-hosts and the televiewers on 'Eat Bulaga'.

She shared in the show that it's only last Wednesday, January 4, when she learned that she's pregnant for 5
weeks now.

Later that day on '24 Oras' where she is a showbiz news anchor, Pia shared the ultrasound photo or scan of her 5-week pregnancy.

Pia and Steve, who got married just last October (See wedding photos HERE), reportedly want a
boy for their first baby.

That's what you call "power voting" by their fans, known as the PhilGels, who made it sure that both Phil and Angel will emerge as winners and be named as the Philippines' Hottest Man and Woman of 2011.

This year's quest for the Philippines' Hottest Men and Women was done in 3 rounds.

During the first round, voters were asked to pick 10 from 100 shortlisted celebs who they think were both "hit" and "hot" in 2011. The Top 50 advanced to the 2nd Round, while the rest were eliminated. (On this round, Derek Ramsay and Kim Chiu got the highest votes.)

In the 2nd Round, voters had to choose just one (1) from the Top 50. Top choices were Angel Locsin and Mario Maurer. The Top 20 highest-vote getters moved to the 3rd and Final Round.

The final round was the most exciting part wherein the voters had to score each of the Top 20 finalists. Through a "hot or not" poll, the voters rated each finalist from a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest.

The final ranking of the Top 20 was based on their average scores from the final round, while the ranking of the rest of the Top 50 was based on the results from the 2nd Round.

Jinkee Pacquiao wins photoshop war vs Charice

Jinkee Pacquiao's MEGA magazine cover has won the "photoshop" battle against Charice's cover for Preview Magazine.

Both magazine covers are out this month of January 2012 and both also created lots of buzz, after netizens noticed Jinkee and Charice as being too photoshopped in the covers.

I created a poll last Monday the moment Jinkee's cover was released, asking the voters to choose which between MEGA Magazine with Jinkee on the cover and Preview Magazine featuring Charice looks more photoshopped for them.

And according to 42.62% of the voters, Jinkee's cover for MEGA is more photoshopped while 34.43% voted for Charice's cover.

The remainders, 22.95%, still believe though that neither of the two covers are photoshopped.

Preview Magazine has already admitted on Wednesday via ABS-CBN News that "Photoshop" was indeed used for Charice's cover, but nothing too major was done to make dramatic changes for Charice's face.

MEGA Magazine on one hand has also admitted that Jinkee's cover went through the standard clean-up process just like their previous covers.

Ramgen and Janelle Video downloading still continues | Janelle Manahan guests on KrisTV

The Ramgen and Janelle Manahan private video is still available for download online despite Senator Bong Revilla's call last Monday not to copy and share the video.

The private video, which features Ramgen Bautista (RIP) and his girlfriend Janelle Manahan in the bathroom, was leaked online last Thursday and almost a week after, it still continues to spread and being shared on the internet.

In my previous blog post (Read: Ram Revilla - Janelle Manahan video leaks as 2012 nears), I wished that downloading of the Ramgen and Janelle video would
stop and copies of it will be totally removed from the web. (Though I know that it's so impossible.)

And during that time when I first blogged about it, most video uploads were no longer available and the only one working was the video upload in a "file sharing web site".

But as 2012 kicks off, it's still up for grabs on the internet.

Take for example on the social networking site Facebook. I only searched the term "Ramgen", but to my surprise, lots of links to the
video appeared on the search results, as shared by some FB users.

Same goes on Twitter and Youtube.

Last Monday, Ramgen's half-brother Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr already warned the public not to copy, reproduce, download or share the video 'coz it's a violation of the Anti-Voyeurism Law.

He has also asked the NBI to track down the person(s) who leaked the video.

It's indeed a big challenge for the NBI to trace who released the video online, especially now that it was first leaked almost a week ago and the first upload has already been deleted.

According to Janelle herself, the private video was stored in Ramgen's laptop, which is now in the possession of his boyfriend's family.

Ramgen's mom Genelyn Magsaysay already denied in an interview last Tuesday that they have the laptop in their possession 'coz it was surrendered to the police.

But in a phone interview made Wednesday morning via ABS-CBN's "Umagang Kay Ganda" Punto Por Punto segment, Genelyn contradicted her previous statement.

She confirmed that her family has the laptop, but they couldn't access it 'coz it's password-protected. "Ang laptop lang po ang nasa amin, pero naka-lock po ito," she told Umagang Kay Ganda host Anthony Taberna.

There are also rumors going on that the 1-minute video circulating online is just a part of the original video, which runs for almost 1 hour. Meaning, Ramgen's video, the full version, probably was sliced in parts and might be released in series.

May it be true or not, the NBI should double their time now so as to prevent more videos from coming out.

Moving on, Janelle Manahan will be guesting on KrisTV's episode Thursday, January 5, 2012.

Joining Janelle in tomorrow's episode is Joseph Bitangcol, who just
like Janelle, has survived a near-death experience. (Joseph figured in a car accident back in August.)

The two are both Star Circle Quest alumni. Joseph finished 9th in Season 1 while Janelle was 6th placer in Season 2.

Jinkee Pacquiao and Charice are both cover girls in two separate magazine covers this month of January.

And they're really both beautiful, gorgeous and awesome in their respective covers.

Shockingly beautiful actually, because the girls on the cover appear so much far from the way Jinkee and Charice really look like, and at first and second glances, you wouldn't recognize that it's them.

Magazines really do wonders to a celebrity's face to make it appear she's a goddess of beauty on a magazine cover, which is quite okay though so they could sell more.

MEGA Mag's editor Cheryl Tiu immediately reacted on the "photoshop" accusation an hour after she posted Jinkee's magazine cover on Twitter just this afternoon.

She said that it's not photoshopped and even posted one behind-the-scenes photo from Jinkee's cover shoot.

MMFF 2011 Best New Wave Actor JM De Guzman and the rest of Boys R Boys sang their own version of Katy Perry's "Firework" on ASAP's first episode this 2012 .

I just find it so cute to hear this version from this group of cuties, the Boys R Boys or BRB.

Launched only last October as ASAP's newest boy group, Boys R Boys is being expected to spark up like fireworks this 2012.

Hopefully, we could see them perform more in concerts and mall shows this year. And probably have their own album?

Except for JM De Guzman, the leader of the group, the three (3) other members of Boys R Boys are all products of talent competitions.

Bryan Termulo was Maricris Garcia's runner up on GMA 7's 'Pinoy Pop Superstar' (Year 3), Alex Castro finished 2nd on 'Are You The Next Big Star' also on GMA 7 while Markki Stroem was a grand finalist on ABS-CBN's Pilipinas Got Talent (Season 1).

It's time to round up the 50 Hottest Men of 2011 as the year ends in less than an hour from now.

Thank you to all who participated in the 3 polls (1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round) which were conducted on this blog during the last 12 days, and finally we have determined the Top 50 men who were both "hit" and "hot" in the year 2011.

On top of them all is Azkals' Phil Younghusband who now takes the "Philippines' Hottest Man of 2011" title.

Coming next to Phil, as 2nd Hottest Man, is Penshoppe's top endorser Mario Maurer, followed by the Prince of Philippine Movies and TV, Gerald Anderson, as the 3rd Hottest Man of the year.

This marks the first time that Phil and Mario made it on the list, while Gerald was the 2nd hottest in 2010.

Ram Revilla - Janelle Manahan video scandal leaks as 2012 nears

Video scandal of Ram Revilla and Janelle Manahan has been leaked and is now everywhere on the internet.

Ram Revilla(aka RamGen Bautista) died in October 29 and 2 months after, a video scandal of him and girlfriend Janelle has been released.

Is this the best way to commemorate Ram's 2nd month death anniverary?

Definitely not, and it must be stopped, to pay respect to Ram.

Links to the video are circulating on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and on different video downloading sites, but the video is no longer accessible in most of them. Good!

(For blogging purposes, I only tried to check if the videos are still working and not because I've been dying to watch it. Just wanna make that clear.)

And I hope, before the New Year 2012 comes, all copies of the video will be totally removed from the web.

The short video, which shows Ram Revilla and Janelle Manahan doing a thing in the shower, runs for almost a minute (54 seconds) and it says that it's under "R-Breezy Production".

Janelle’s lawyer Argee Guevarra told the Philippine Star today that his client has confirmed she and Ram are indeed the couple in the video, and that it was stored in RamGen's computer.

Who leaked the video? Atty. Guevarra is pointing fingers to Ram's own family. "This video represents the second assassination of Ramgen and second frustrated murder of Janelle orchestrated and masterminded by the Bautista household," Guevarra told The Philippine Star.

But the Bautista family's lawyer Jeffrey Gepte has denied the accusation. “It’s absurd to blame the family because it’s a private matter between Ramgen and Janelle. So it would be very absurd for the whole Bautista family to know about it," he said.

I'm waiting for Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr's reaction on this video of his half-brother RamGen and Janelle.

Remember, in 2009, Sen. Bong condemned Hayden Kho Jr for recording scandalous videos with different women, including Katrina Halili. He accused Hayden as the one who released the videos online.

Tyron Perez dead on Dec. 29 - death anniversary of Miko Sotto

Tyron Perez was found dead inside a car in Valenzuela City Thursday night,
December 29, 2011.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, Tyron Perez (real name: Jojo Malonzo Perez) was found dead while at the backseat of a black Toyota Altis car along Barangay Ugong in Valenzuela City.

He died of a gunshot wound on his head with the gun found near his body.

Police investigators
initially deemed Tyron's death as a suicide, but they're not ruling
out the possibility of a foul play.

Investigation further stated that the car was parked at the area since morning the same day.

'Bandila' news anchor Boy Abunda shared last night on the show that according to his sources, the vehicle was parked near the residence of Tyron's friend,
where the actor was staying for a couple of days already.

The friend has been identified just this morning as Priscila Salazar.

Tyron left a wife named Liv, a flight attendant, and she confirmed to ABS-CBN News that she and Tyron indeed had marital problems before his death.

Tyron Perez was only 26 (Sep. 14, 1985 - Dec. 29, 2011).

Incidentally, December 29 is the death anniversary of Miko Sotto, a
21-year-old actor who passed away in December 29, 2003.

Miko, who was Angel Locsin's boyfriend that time, died after he fell

The MMFF 2011 winners have been revealed during the festival's Awards Night or Gabi ng Parangal held Wednesday night, December 28, 2011, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila, Pasay City.

The festival entry 'Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story' was the biggest winner, bringing home a total of 11 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor (for John Regala).

('Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga' was only a replacement for Robin Padilla's movie 'Mr. Wong' which was pulled out from the festival.)

Eugene Domingo won her 2nd consecutive MMFF Best Supporting Actress, this time for "My Househusband: Ikaw Na!" Last year, she won for "Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na 'To".

Actually, it's already her 3rd Best Supporting Actress trophy from MMFF. She won the first time during MMFF 2007 for 'Bahay Kubo'.

While 'Asiong Salonga' had 11 awards, the other entries only had 3 or 2 awards, or just 1, as in the case of 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow' (Best Actress for Maricel Soriano) and 'Segunda Mano' (Best Actor for Dingdong Dantes).

'Panday 2' and 'Segunda Mano' battle for 2nd spot: MMFF 2011 Box Office Tally (December 25 to 27)

The official MMFF 2011 Box Office Tally has been finally released today with 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' as the Festival Topgrosser, ranking #1 with almost a hundred million gross receipts already in just 3 days.

As of December 27 (Day 3 of MMFF 2011), 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' which stars Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas, has already collected a whooping P91.9-million gross earnings, while 'Ang Panday 2', starring Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr and Marian Rivera, is in very far second, with P51.5-million earnings.

At this point, it's already impossible for any other entries to grab the No. 1 slot from 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' which might reach P200-million mark by the end of the festival.

'Segunda Mano' on one hand, which stars Presidential Sister Kris Aquino, comes very close to 'Panday 2' with 47.0-million.

Depending on the results of the MMFF 2011 Awards Night or Gabi Ng Parangal happening tonight, 'Segunda Mano' might overtake 'Panday 2' and end up as the 2nd top-grosser of the festival.

In the tally released by Kris Aquino on Twitter last Monday for the opening day of the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival, 'My Househusband: Ikaw Na' was ranked 4th and 'Asiong Salonga' was the lowest-grossing film of the festival.

But on the official box-office tally from the opening day up to December 27, 'My Househusband' is only ranked 5th, behind 'Shake, Rattle & Roll 13', while 'Asiong Salonga' comes next at 6th spot making 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow' as the lowest-grossing film so far with only P4.1-million gross in 3 days. (Kris' tweet said that the movie had P10.1-million on its first day.)

The beautiful Kristine Hermosa gave birth to a 5.9-lb baby girl a day after Christmas, December 26, 2011.

Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto's first baby girl is named Ondrea Bliss and according to Oyo himself, Kristine gave birth to baby Ondrea 11:49 Monday night via normal delivery.

Many are excited to see how beautiful baby Ondrea Bliss is, but for now, let's just enjoy her first public photo below, as shared by her Daddy Oyo via Instagram.

Ondrea Bliss is Oyo and Tin's first biological baby. They already have a 3-year-old adopted son named Quiel.

Actress-Model Solenn Heussaff was the one who shared on Twitter about her brother Erwan's gift for Anne last Christmas.

As shown in the photo above, Anne received from Erwan a beautiful portrait of her own self as painted by Martin Honasan, husband of singer Barbie Almalbis and son of Sen. Gringo Honasan.

According to Anne on Twitter, it's one of the best gifts she ever received.

Last December 24, Anne and sister Jasmine Curtis spent Christmas Eve with the Heussaff family.

Anne and Erwan are couple for 2 years already, and after Christmas, it's exciting to know what would be Erwan's gift for Anne on her 27th birthday this coming February 17.

During Anne's 26th birthday, Erwan gave her a "jewelry" to replace the

MMFF 2011 Box Office Tally (Opening Day): 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' takes top spot

The MMFF 2011 has officially opened today, December 25 (Christmas Day) and just like in the previous years, it's always exciting to know which MMFF entries drew the longest lines of moviegoers during the festival's opening day.

There are seven (7) official entries in the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF 2011 and as expected, 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' dominated Day 1 of the festival.

No official figures have been released yet by the MMFF officials, but according to Star Cinema people, the movie, which is co-produced by Star Cinema/OctoArts/M-Zet/APT and stars MMFF box-office giants Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas, had a record-breaking opening day figure of P38.5-million.

Movie tickets for 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo' reportedly were declared "sold-out" in some cinemas, that moviegoers had to settle for either 'Ang Panday 2' or 'Segunda Mano' as their 2nd choice. (These two films actually also had sold-out tickets in other cinemas.)

SM Megamall, which has 12 cinemas, said on Twitter about 10PM tonight that the 3 films who dominated their cinemas on Day 1 of MMFF 2011 were 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo', 'Segunda Mano' and 'Ang Panday 2'.

came in strong at the Box Office for the first day of MMFF 2011," SM MegaMall posted on Twitter.

SM Megamall initially allotted 2 cinemas each for 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo',
'Ang Panday 2', 'Shake, Rattle & Roll 13', 'Segunda Mano' and 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow', and one (1) each for 'My Househusband: Ikaw Na!' and 'Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story'.

But it ended the day with 4 cinemas for the very strong 'Enteng Ng Ina Mo'.

KC Concepcion to host X-Factor Philippines

KC Concepcion will be hosting The X-Factor Philippines, one of the highly-anticipated shows of ABS-CBN this 2012.

It has just been confirmed today, two days after KC signed another exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.

This could probably be the very reason why the heartbroken KC decided to stay with ABS-CBN even if she already left Star Magic for Viva Artist Management (because of ex-bf Piolo Pascual) and despite a very tempting offer from TV5.

Her parents Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, formerly from ABS-CBN, are now under contract with TV5.

Aside from hosting The X Factor Philippines, KC Concepcion will also do the teleserye "Alta" (in a very challenging role) opposite Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban.

The X-Factor Philippines will start its nationwide auditions this January and is set to premiere possibly by 3rd Quarter of 2012.

Rhian Ramos and Mo Twister "kissing video" leaked!

A scandalous video of ex-couple Rhian Ramos and Mo Twister has made its way on the internet (and you guessed it right) via Youtube where the video of DJ Mo Twister talking about Rhian's alleged abortion also first came out.

As early as May this year, while the Philippine showbiz was celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the Hayden Kho - Katrina Halili video scandal controversy, there were already speculations that Hayden's close friend DJ Mo also made his own video scandal with ex-girlfriend Rhian. (Read: Mo Twister - Rhian Ramos alleged video scandal in Greece)

DJ Mo indeed has a video scandal existing with Rhian, as confirmed by a video uploaded on Youtube early this week.

The said video, which shows Rhian Ramos and Mo Twister kissing in bed (location unknown), was reportedly first uploaded last Monday, December 19, by PrettyJenny55, the same uploader of the RepairedMovie.mov video featuring DJ Mo talkin' about Rhian's abortion in Singapore.

The new video can no longer be found under PrettyJenny55's account, but with PrettyJenny having 154 subscribers, it's not surprising that the video will be immediately copied, reproduced and re-uploaded on Youtube.

As of this writing, about 30 copies of that video are available on Youtube.

Rhian, who's now dating Sen. Ping Lacson's son Jeric, is yet to react on the video, but Mo already did via his Tumblr account.

According to Mo, he's not the one who uploaded the kissing video online nor he has the idea on how the video found its way on Youtube.

He said on Wednesday, December 21:

I hope this all ends soon. I don’t even know how we are getting to this point. I know so many theories are out there on how these videos are being uploaded online. I hope I can be as clear as possible that this is not my doing. This latest video was not one in my possession. It was not recorded on my laptop. Actually, at this point, it doesn’t even matter what your opinions are or who you put to blame for this. These files are amongst some of our more private and intimate moments and right now, it looks like even though I ask/beg the person to stop uploading these videos, it will not make a difference. I hope this will all end soon.

Coming from Mo himself, the video is just one of their more private and intimate moments together. Does this mean there are more videos of them, possibly racier than one above?

I hope this is already the last one to come out in public.

Eat Bulaga contestant says "Thank You" to Willie Revillame

On Eat Bulaga's episode yesterday, December 17, 2011, a lucky home viewer wrongly thanked TV5 host Willie Revillame after winning cash and gift packs in the show's "Juan For All, All For Juan" segment.

That awkward but funny moment gave Eat Bulaga host Jose Manalo the idea to impersonate Willie Revillame who hosted "Wowowee" on ABS-CBN and now hosts "Wiltime Bigtime" on TV5.

Even Paolo Ballesteros imitated Shalani Soledad, Willie's co-host in "Wiltime Bigtime".

Marian Rivera, 3rd choice for role in "My Beloved"

Marian Rivera has replaced Rhian Ramos as Dingdong Dantes' leading lady in the upcoming GMA Telebabad offering "My Beloved".

The official confirmation was made last night by GMA Network, contrary to the rumors that Carla Abellana will take the role.

Expected to premiere 1st quarter of 2012, "My Beloved" will be the 5th primetime series team-up of real-life couple Dingdong and Marian or DongYan.

DongYan loveteam was previously seen in successful TV series like "Marimar", "Dyesebel", "Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang" and "Endless Love".

This just means, it's okay for Marian to be just the 3rd choice for the role so she could be reunited with boyfriend Dingdong, which actually looks more exciting for the Kapuso viewers.

Heart Evangelista was the original choice to be Dingdong Dantes' leading lady in "My Beloved" but reportedly due to her conflict with Marian, which originated while filming "Temptation Island", the role eventually went to Rhian Ramos.

Rhian later gave up the role after she got involved in an alleged abortion video controversy with ex-boyfriend DJ Mo Twister and decided to take a leave from work.

With the new soap, Marian's primetime supremacy will definitely continue in 2012. She is currently starring in "Amaya" which has been lording the television ratings in Mega Manila.

Sam Pinto is FHM Philippines' cover babe this December 2011, her 2nd FHM cover already but her first for the mag since being crowned as FHM Philippines' Sexiest Woman in the World last July.

In her new FHM cover, Sam Pinto is wearing a 2-piece bikini, unlike in her July 2010 cover where she was in a one-piece bathing suit.

Sam obviously has changed her mind, 'coz she said last June via GMA 7's 24 Oras that she will never pose in 2-piece. "If I pose for magazines, it's still going to be in a one-piece, bathing suit pa rin. Ayoko mag-lingerie, hindi ko kaya. Papagalitan ako ng mommy ko!"

Yesterday, December 11, was Sam's 22nd birthday and she definitely enjoyed her special day at the Robinsons Galleria Movieworld where she had an autograph signing session with her fans (who bought her FHM December 2011 cover).

According to FHM, Sam's event yesterday at Robinsons may own the record for the most number of attendants in an FHM autograph signing event.

Olga Alava from Ecuador crowned Miss Earth 2011

Miss Ecuador Olga Alava won the Miss Earth 2011 title Saturday night, December 3, 2011, at the UP Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.

Olga Alava (photo) is 23 years old (born on a Valentine's Day), stands 5'8" and a graduate of BA in International Studies.

It's the first time ever that Ecuador won the Miss Earth title and already it's second "grand slam pageant title" this 2011.

Last November 6 (in only less than a month ago), Ecuadorian Maria Fernanda Cornejo won the Miss International 2011 title, also a first for Ecuador.

Probably the huge "surprises" in the Top 16 were Misses Zimbabwe and Portugal, while the big "misses" or the heavy faves who failed to enter the semis were the candidates from Czech Republic, India and Puerto Rico.

Mario Maurer covers Garage Magazine - December 2011 to January 2012 issue

Mario Maurer strikes a simple yet very charming pose for Garage Magazine's latest cover.

After Ed Westwick in November, it's Mario Maurer's turn to grace Garage Magazine's cover for its December 2011-January 2012 issue.

Just like Westwick, Mario Maurer is also Penshoppe's new brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, Penshoppe has already started to release its Christmas 2011 campaign at 6PM today, and the first off to come out was the ad campaign featuring no less than Mario Maurer (who's sporting the same clothes he's wearing for Garage Magazine):

In 2012, Mario Maurer will do a movie under Star Cinema entitled "Suddenly It’s Magic" where he will be paired with Erich Gonzales. He is also set to shoot an episode for Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) this January.
