LATEST UPDATE: At 9AM Tuesday, July 7, 2015, EGAY is already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Meanwhile, another one is expected to enter PAR this afternoon or evening and will be named FALCON. At 10:00 am, it's located 1,620 km East of Luzon (18.1˚N, 137.0˚E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph, says PAGASA.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Typhoon 'EGAY' to exit PAR Tuesday evening, then Typhoon 'FALCON' comes next, to enter PAR today or Wednesday.

'Egay' (only a tropical storm actually, with international name 'Linfa') continues to bring heavy rains in some parts of the country, but so far, only the Province of Laguna has announced class suspension in all levels for today, July 7, 2015 (Other areas might make announcement at the last minute, perhaps right after PAGASA's 4AM update).

According to PAGASA's 10PM update last night, July 6, 2015, Tropical Storm "EGAY" was located 225 km Northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, with coordinates of 19.8°N, 119.3°E.

'EGAY' still has maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, and is moving North at 7 kph. It is now expected this evening to be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) or at 275 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is still raised in Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands, Northwest of Cagayan and Apayao.

Meanwhile, as 'Egay' leaves, another one will take over, and it will be called 'Falcon' (International Name: 'Chan-hom').

Egay...Falcon, back-to-back! It sounds like Ejay Falcon, the actor currently starring in the ABS-CBN soap 'Pasion de Amor'.

And let's all hope, the weather situation in the country today and on the coming days won't be as "intense" as those happening in the teleserye.

Can we have a break from these typhoons? Just keep safe everyone. - Mykiru.ph
