Class suspensions have been declared in several areas for December 9, 2014, still due to 'Ruby' and I've listed them down below.

Despite the typhoon being downgraded to a tropical storm, it still continues to threaten many parts of the country, such as those in CALABARZON and Metro Manila, where heavy rainfalls are expected this evening. In fact, 'Ruby' has just made its 4th landfall earlier at 5:45PM in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, according to PAGASA, and as it moves west northwest, many areas will still experience the impact of the tropical storm.

In anticipation of heavy rains and flooding tomorrow, many local government units in Region 3, 4A, 4B and Metro Manila have declared suspension of classes, and the Department of Education (DepEd) has the list in their Facebook Page.

As posted, classes have been suspended tomorrow for all levels in the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, Bataan, Pampanga (Minalin, Mexico and San Fernando only), Bulacan (only includes Bocaue, Calumpit, San Jose del Monte, Malolos City, Hagonoy, Sta. Maria, Pulilan, Meycauayan, Balagtas, Bulakan, Bustos, Plaridel, Pandi) and Oriental Mindoro (Calapan City only).

No classes as well in all levels for Metro Manila cities and municipalities such as Muntinlupa, Marikina, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Navotas, Pateros, QC, Mandaluyong, Taguig, Malabon, Pasay, Caloocan, Makati, San Juan, Manila, Pasig and Las Piñas.

Meanwhile, Northern Palawan, cities of Angeles and Mabalacat in Pampanga, the municipalities of Norzagaray and Baliuag in Bulacan, and the City of Olongapo have also announced suspensions from preschool, elementary and highschool, but not in the college level.

Only preschool and elementary schools have no classes tomorrow in the following areas: Candaba, Pampanga; San Rafael, Bulacan; and San Miguel, Bulacan.

The above list is as of 11PM Monday, December 8. - Mykiru.ph
