Miss World 2014 candidates are now in London. How are they? What have they been doing so far these first 3 days of the pageant?
Yesterday, November 21, some of the candidates who first arrived in London have already auditioned for the Miss World Talent and for the Dances of the World.
Among those who took part in the auditions yesterday are: (credit to MWO)
Today, November 22, it's one special day for Miss Philippines Valerie Weigmann. She's celebrating her birthday, the first candidate to celebrate such in this year's Miss World edition.
I'm sure every Filipino's wish for Valerie on this special day is a back-to-back win for the Philippines, whose candidate last year, Megan Young, became the first Pinay Miss World.
Valerie is now 25 years old, one of the oldest among 124 candidates. Before coming to the pageant, there were already 10 candidates who are 25 years old. They are Miss Netherlands Tatjana Maul, Miss Romania
Bianca Fanu, Miss Sri Lanka Chulakshi Ranathunga, Miss Norway Monica Pedersen, Miss Mauritius Sheetal Khadun, Miss Malaysia Dewi Liana Seriestha, Miss Haiti Carolyn Desert, Miss British Virgin Islands Rosanna Chichester, Miss Bolivia Andrea Forfori and Miss Albania Xhensila Pere.
Miss Guinea-Bissau Laila Da Costa meanwhile is the youngest of all, only 17 years old. Also among the youngest are the candidates from Côte d'Ivoire (Jennifer Yéo), Germany (Egzonita Ala), Moldova (Alexandra Caruntu), Montenegro (Natasa Novakovic), Slovakia (Laura Longauerová) and Sweden (Olivia Asplund) who are all 18 years old.
Later today, the candidates will be divided into groups, to take part in the Sports eliminations.
All these Talent, Dances of the World and Sports challenges are just 3 of the many competitions of the pageant where the candidates can earn points or get high scores in order for them to earn a slot in semi-finals. - Mykiru.ph
