A GMA 7 Kapuso talent for so many years, Maxene Magalona is possibly a new Kapamilya now, and 'It's Showtime' is her first show in the network. "Hello Madlang Pipol! Sa mga Kapamilya viewers, ipapakilala
ko po sarili ko. I'm Maxene Magalona," she said during her turn to give comments to a Gandang Lalake contestant.
It brings me back to the time when Angel Locsin transfered to ABS-CBN 7 years ago and also introduced herself. "Sa mga TFC subscribers, ako po si Angel Locsin," she told the viewers after she was welcomed on ASAP as new Kapamilya.
On Instagram, Maxene posted photos of her, before and after her first Showtime appearance. According to a caption in one photo, she's glad to be back to ABS-CBN after 21 years.
maxenemagalona: "Back in the halls of ABS-CBN. The last time I was here, I was still a little girl running around and being so makulit as one of the castmembers of Ang TV 21 years ago. It feels good to be back! Thanks for the warm welcome, mga kapamilya! ️ #StyledbyAdrianne"
She also shared how happy she was when she trended worldwide for a good reason. It was only her 2nd time to make it to Twitter trending list, the first time was when netizens criticized her for singing off-key in one prod for 'Party Pilipinas' in January 2012.
maxenemagalona: " Ang sarap pala mag-trending nang hindi dahil sa piyok at pagkanta ng off-key! Salamat ulit sa lahat ng mga kapamilya na nanuod at sumuporta sa akin sa Showtime! Bukas ulit!!!"
If Maxene is indeed moving to ABS-CBN for good, it took her more than 3 years to finally leave GMA 7. Back in January 2012, I already blogged about the possibility that Maxene Magalona might be the next GMA star to transfer network after Iza Calzado, who also switched from GMA to ABS-CBN. It didn't happen then, and Maxene went on to do 4 more TV series for GMA: "Faithfully", "Indio", "Mga Basang Sisiw" and "Hiram Na Alaala".
