The Box Office King and Queen for 2013 are yet to be crowned (I'm wishing they're John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo), but this early, there's already a strong contender for 2014 Box Office King and Queen titles.

Xian Lim and Kim Chiu are now Box Office King and Queen contenders for the Year 2014, after their movie 'Bride For Rent' collected
P324.6-million in the box-office less than 4 weeks (26 days) since it opened in theaters.

That's according to Box Office Mojo's latest tally as of February 9. Based on Star Cinema's own count, the movie reached that figure on its 24th day, February 7.

With that total, 'Bride For Rent' easily becomes the highest-grossing January release ever in the Philippines, and has set the biggest box office record in the country so far this 2014. (Tough challenge for upcoming Pinoy films.)

It's also now the 6th all-time highest-grossing Pinoy film, as well as the 2nd highest-grossing romantic comedy film in the country's history behind last year's 'It Takes a Man and a Woman'.

Truly, the KimXi loveteam will keep on soaring higher whatever controversies Kim and Xian have to face.

Kim got harsh criticisms from some members of the press after an incident at the movie's presscon held 2 days before the movie's opening, while Xian had to get through heavy bashing the past week due to that 'Banana Nite' Bea Binene-Charmae Viking controversy.

Also take note of these amazing facts:

'Bride For Rent' has grossed more than triple the earnings of the first KimXi movie 'Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?'.

With so many past and present loveteams, KimXi is only the 2nd loveteam (after AshLloyd) to lead a movie that reached the P300M mark.
