Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr September 2014 fight? Mayweather reacts!

The whole world was abuzz yesterday with the report that a Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr fight is finally happening in September 2014.

That report came from the Philippine Star quoting an article from The Latino Post and a 3-week old Youtube commentary video by 78SportsTV, which claims that the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight is already a "done deal".

It was enough to electrify many boxing fans around the globe, believing the report as true. Even celebrities reacted, tweeted excitement over what could be the biggest boxing fight ever.

But still, many doubted it's happening this September, maybe because neither Manny Pacquiao nor Floyd Mayweather themselves have confirmed if it's true.

A day after that unconfirmed report circulated online and generated much buzz, Mayweather finally broke his silence, denying any rumors about a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao this September.

Mayweather exclusively told the website FightHype.com that it's a lie.

The ESPN Fighter of the Year for 2013 said that as long as it doesn't come from his mouth nor from any members of Team Money, it's definitely not true at all.

On Twitter, Mayweather also posted a tweet, thanking Fight Hype for clearing up the rumors along with a link to the article.

So, that should stop us all hoping for that fight, at least this 2014, since it won't be possible as long as Pacquiao is tied with promoter Bob Arum, to whom Mayweather is currently not in good terms with. The Filipino boxer is under contract with Bob Arum until December of this year.

Beyond 2014, expect it to be brought up once again, until that fight finally happens. We're free to dream for that dream fight!
