Sarah Geronimo for MTV EMA 2013 Best Southeast Asia Act: Vote for her!

Advertisements
Sarah Geronimo is nominated in the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) .

The Philippines' Popstar Princess is among the 5 nominees in the category Best Southeast Asia Act, along with Hafiz of Malaysia, Noah of Indonesia, Olivia Ong of Singapore, Slot Machine of Thailand and My Tam of Vietnam.

It's the first time that there's a Best Southeast Asia Act category in the MTV EMA as well as the categories Best India Act, Best Japan Act, Best Korea Act, Best Mainland China & Hong Kong Act and Best Taiwan Act. Last year, there was only this Best Asian Act and in 2011, it was called Best Asia & Pacific Act.

Sarah Geronimo becomes the very first artist from the Philippines to get nominated at the MTV EMA. And we can assure her victory as Best Southeast Asian Act if we keep on voting for her.

Voting has already started for the local categories, such as the ones I mentioned above, at the MTV EMA website yesterday and the winners will move on to the next round of voting for the regional categories.

To vote, just go to Sarah G's page at the MTV EMA website then look for the VOTE button.

After you've successfully voted, you'll get the message: "THANK YOU FOR VOTING!". Refresh the page if you want to vote again and again.

If Sarah emerges as Best Southeast Asia Act winner, she will be competing against the other Asian winners for the regional category of
Best Asia Act in another round of voting beginning October 25. Winners for the regional categories will be announced on November 1.

And if she wins as Best Asian Act, she will then vie for the Best Worldwide Act award against 9 other nominees, those who also topped in
their respective regions (such as Africa, Europe, Latin America, North America etc.). [I'm not just sure if there will still be Best Asia & Oceanic Act or they will be split into two: Best Asia Act and Best Oceania Act, since there's also two separate categories for Australia and New Zealand.]

The Best Worldwide Act winner will be announced on the 2013 MTV EMA Awarding Ceremony on November 10 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam,
Netherlands.

Last Year, Chinese artist Han Geng, yeah, the one who defeated Sarah during last March's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2013 for Best Asian Act, swept all 3 MTV EMAs. He won as Best Asian Act, then also won Best Asia & Oceanic Act as well as the Best Worldwide Act category. We can also do it for Sarah this year!

If you wish, you can also vote for all categories of the 2013 MTV EMA (but I would suggest, you should concentrate on voting for our very
own Sarah Geronimo. Unlimited voting!!!!). Below are the complete MTV EMA 2013 nominees as announced by MTV yesterday:
