'Little Champ' replaces 'Kahit Konting Pagtingin' on its early primetime slot

'Little Champ' premieres on ABS-CBN this March 18, 2013, taking over Kahit Konting Pagtingin's timeslot on early primetime.

ABS-CBN surprised its viewers when it showed earlier the full trailer of new fantasy series "Little Champ" and announced it will already air this Monday, March 18, 2013, on Primetime Bida block, right before its flagship news program TV Patrol.

So what happened to 'Kahit Konting Pagtingin' which has occupied that timeslot since it premiered in January?

Unfortunately, it's going to have a new time slot, but no longer on primetime.

Starting Monday, the kilig-serye which stars Angeline Quinto, Sam Milby and Paulo Avelino, will now be part of ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold offerings. It will be shown at 5:15 PM, right after the Korean TV series "Rooftop Prince" and before the new show "Little Champ".

2:45 PM May Isang Pangarap
3:30 PM Paraiso (last 3 weeks)
4:00 PM Glory Jane
4:15 PM Pinoy True Stories
4:45 PM Rooftop Prince (last 2 weeks)
5:15 PM Kahit Konting Pagtingin
5:45 PM Little Champ

I'd rather not think that KKP was downgraded or demoted for being moved from primetime to daytime, but the move could be a way to strengthen ABS-CBN's afternoon block. It's about to end anyway next month.

Meanwhile, from its supposed airing in November, "Little Champ" will finally air pilot episode this Monday, but still with the same unattractive title.

The trailer however shows it's still an exciting TV series which for sure is going to be a hit among the kids.

"Little Champ" stars newbie child actor JB Agustin, Sen. Lito Lapid, Jhong Hilario, Precious Lara Quigaman, Mickey Ferriols, Katya Santos, Jake Roxas, Coleen Garcia, Jolo Revilla, Renz Fernandez and featuring the voices of Maliksi Morales (as Chalk), Rico J. Puno, John Regala and Mr. Eddie Garcia. - Mykiru.ph
