Oscar Winners 2013 List: The Biggest Oscar Winners and Losers

Which nominated film had the best performance at the recently-concluded Oscar Awards 2013 in terms of "wins against nominations"?

It's definitely not 'Life of Pi', even if it won the most Oscar awards (a total of
4).

The Ang Lee film won only 4 of its 11 nominations, the 2nd highest number of nominations for a film this year. That's only 36%, and 4 movies have performed better.

"Argo" is still the biggest winner, having the best performance of
all. Including the top honor (Best Picture), the Ben Affleck-directed movie won 3 of its 7 nods (43%).

Winning 2 out of their 5 nominations (40%),
"Skyfall" and "Django Unchained" even performed better than "Life Of Pi". The musical film Les Miserables also had a higher winning percentage of 38% (3/8).

Meanwhile, Oscars 2013's most nominated film "Lincoln" turned out to be among the biggest "losers", winning just 2 despite having 12
nominations. That's equivalent to only 17%.

Also losing big was "Silver Linings Playbook" which started the awards
ceremony with 8 noms and ended with just 1 win (12%). Thanks to
Jennifer Lawrence's Oscars Best Actress victory 'coz the movie was spared from being one of the films with the most nominations but without a single Oscar win, if it won nothing last night.

This year's worst performance was made by "Beasts of the Southern
Wild" having 4 nominations but failed to win a single award.

During the 2011 Oscar Awards, "True Grit" had a really bad 0/10.

But of course, for a film or even for an actor, earning an Oscar nomination alone is already a big honor, and winning is already a nice bonus.
