Megan Young disqualified from joining Binibining Pilipinas 2013

Megan Young got disqualified from joining Binibining Pilipinas 2013, not because she's too beautiful, or she's popular and already a sure winner, but due to Megan Young's topless Rogue Magazine photos.

Binibining Pilipinas 2013 screenings (callback) have started Monday and continued until today, but no Megan was seen among the applicants.

Megan Young has been part of many's "wishlist" of who they want to see among Binibining Pilipinas 2013 candidates, and who they're hoping to succeed Janine Tugonon, wear the "Philippines" sash at Miss Universe 2013 and bring home the crown.

But that's now far from happening, 'coz Megan Young has been denied to screen for Binibining Pilipinas 2013. She submitted her application to Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) last January under Jonas Gaffud's Aces and Queens, but she was not allowed to show up for the screenings held Monday until today.

According to a Binibining Pilipinas insider, Megan Young got disqualified due to her topless photos for Rogue Magazine's March 2012 issue.

I asked said insider if there's any chance that BPCI will change its mind, and here's the response I got: "The answer is no. Final na ang decision."

That's what I've been worrying about since I saw her photos then for the said men's magazine. (Read: Megan Young bares bikini body for Rogue Magazine, March 2012)

It's a big NO for BPCI, just like Sandra Seifert in 2009, who just posed in swimsuit for FHM Philippines, but already got disqualified.

In 2011, Grendel Alvarado and Bianca Paz also got disqualified for taking part in photoshoots which were big "no-no" for BPCI.

Should we allow BPCI to continue wasting beauties like Megan Young? Is it just fine that BPCI head Madame Stella Marquez - Araneta, who's not even a true Filipino, is not gonna allow a deserving Filipina to join the pageant?

Miss Universe Organization itself allows candidates who got involved in scandalous photos to join the Miss U pageant, and how come BPCI does not allow those who just posed sexy for a men's magazine?

Don't be surprised if a group of fans will launch a protest on Megan Young's disqualification in Binibining Pilipinas 2013.

On Twitter, the hashtag #WeWantMeganYoungForBbPilipinas2013 has been started in support of the gorgeous TV host, VJ and actress.

Megan though has already accepted what happened. "Accept and adjust. That's just the way things are sometimes :)," she posted on Twitter.

To BPCI, you can still change your rules and allow Megan Young to join. We are waiting and hoping. - Mykiru.ph
