Typhoon Pablo hits Visayas and Mindanao, kills 6

Typhoon Pablo (International Name: Bopha) has slightly weakened and public storm warning signal has already been lowered in the affected areas, according to the latest bulletin update by PAGASA issued at 5PM today, December 4, 2012.

PAGASA's report says that at 4PM, the eye of Typhoon “PABLO” was located based on radar, satellite and surface data at 60 km. SouthEast of Dumaguete City (9.0°N, 123.7ºE).

With maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph, Typhoon Pablo is being forecasted to move West Northwest at 24 kph.

By tomorrow afternoon, it's expected to be at 140 km Southwest of Coron, Palawan.

According to a report from Rappler.com, at least 6 people have been confirmed dead as "Bagyong Pablo" smashed parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

Signal #2: Rest of Palawan, Aklan, Capiz, Rest of Cebu including Camotes Islands, Rest of Negros Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Norte, Bukidnon, Lanao del Sur and Zamboanga del Sur including Sibugay

Signal #1: Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Leyte including Biliran, Southern Leyte, Surigao del Norte including Siargao, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat, Agusan
del Sur, Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley, North Cotabato and Maguindanao
