Quinta has become a tropical storm on Christmas Day, December 25, 2012.

I hope our kababayans in Visayas and Mindanao are still having a great
Christmas Day celebration despite the rains brought by new tropical storm "QUINTA" (International name: Wukong).

As of this morning, Quinta has been upgraded from tropical depression
to a tropical storm, and causing heavy rains in Visayas and Mindanao, and even in the Southern part of Luzon.

At PAGASA's official website, it says that Bagyong Quinta is estimated at 130 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.4°N, 127.1°E) as of 2PM today.

It's expected to be in the vicinity of Leyte tomorrow morning and in
the vicinity of Coron, Palawan by Thursday morning.

It's now Signal # 1 in Northern Samar, Western Samar, Biliran, Bohol
and Cebu including
Camotes Island as well as in Surigao Del Norte, Surigao Del Sur,
Agusan Provinces, Misamis Oriental and Camiguin, while Signal # 2 is up in Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte,
Dinagat Province and Siargao Island. - Mykiru.ph
