It's the MMFF 2012 Opening Day today and as expected, movie fans
flocked theaters nationwide to watch their favorite entry, even if it could mean being stuck in long queues both at the ticket booth and at the cinema entrance.

And among the 8 official entries of MMFF 2012, it's the comedy film "Sisterakas" (starring Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Vice Ganda plus Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) which has the most people lining up just to watch the movie, followed by the family adventure film "Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote At Si Ako" (starring Vic Sotto, Bong Revilla, Judy Ann Santos) and the romance drama "One More Try" (stars Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo).

In major cinemas, tickets were even sold-out for "Sisterakas" as early as 12 noon. Wow! All seats taken as well for " Si Agimat, Si Enteng
Kabisote at Si Ako" in some cinemas.

"Sisterakas" which is co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films under the direction of Wenn Deramas is being expected to be the MMFF 2012
top-grosser.

According to a poll, which was conducted on this blog before the MMFF 2012 opening today asking the readers to vote for the movies they're going to watch, Sisterakas is the top choice, followed by "One More
Try", "Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote At Si Ako" and "The Strangers".

Here's how the 8 entries rank in the poll:

1. Sisterakas
2. One More Try
3. Si Agimat, si Enteng at Ako
4. The Strangers
5. Shake, Rattle & Roll 14
6. El Presidente
7. Sosy Problems
8. Thy Womb

That's also how I predict the movies' ranking in the box-office, except that I'll interchange "One More Try" and "Si Agimat, Si Enteng
Kabisote At Si Ako" in the 2nd and 3rd slots. - Mykiru.ph
