Azkals, not Filipinos?

News anchor Arnold Clavio has made harsh comments against the Philippine Azkals on GMA 7 morning show 'Unang Hirit' Tuesday, March 13, 2012.

While he was doing his job as news anchor on Unang Hirit's "Unang Balita" news segment along with Connie Sison, Lyn Ching-Pascual and Rhea Santos, Arnold Clavio made hard-hitting, kinda racist remarks against the Philippine Azkals in connection with the news report about two of its members, Lexton Moy and Angel Guirado, who recently got involved in a sexual harassment case filed by Former Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President and now Azkals Match Commissioner Cristy Ramos.

Here's what Arnold Clavio said vs the Azkals:

"Talagang ano na, aral na sa inyo 'yan eh. Ang yayabang nyo, kala nyo. Porket dinadagsa na kayo ng fans, ang ga-gwapo nyo eh no. Parang God's gift to women...

"Hindi naman kayo Pilipino, nagpapanggap lang kayong kayumanggi. Eh 'di dito lumaki, mahirap 'yun..."

"Akala siguro nila lahat gusto silang matikman siguro, makasama, Diyos ko!...

Angel Locsin to the rescue: Angel, whose unofficial boyfriend Phil Younghusband is an Azkals member, also reacted on the issue via Twitter and defended the team against Arnold Clavio.

143redangel: "I think arnold clavio's a good person. But this time, sobrang foul lang. That's his opinion. This is mine. Madali lang sumira ng reputasyon, mahirap ibalik. Konting sensitivity lang sana."
