Noynoy Aquino spends birthday with earthquake victims

Pres. Noynoy Aquino (PNoy) has arrived in Negros Oriental this morning to do aerial inspection of the earthquake-affected areas in the province.

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Negros Oriental last Monday, Feb. 6, and as of today, 26 are reported dead, 71 still missing, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

It's only now, 2 days after the quake, Feb. 8, that PNoy has decided to visit the area, which happens to be on the day of his 52nd birthday.

Joining the President in the visit are his sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz and Pinky Aquino-Abellada.

PNoy is only having a short visit there 'coz he's already going back to Manila this afternoon.

But the big question is: Will PNoy still have a birthday celebration tonight amidst the tragedy in Negros Oriental?

I think it would be better if he'll just have a simple birthday celebration, and not a grand one. (Or better not have one na lang.)

Aside from PNoy, also celebrating birthday today is stylist Liz Uy, who was once romantically-linked to the President.

Liz turns 30 today.

Other Feb. 8 birthday celebrants are singer Champ Lui Pio (30th) and model/stylist Carlos Concepcion (28th).
