Anne Curtis, Kris Aquino & Angel Locsin, most popular local celebrities on Twitter

Anne Curtis is still the most followed local celebrity on Twitter now with more than half a million followers.

It's been 6 months since Mykiru Isyusero listed down the Philippines' Top 25 Popular Celebs on Twitter (as of June 15, 2010).

And this January 2011, there are major changes on the list.

Anne though remains on top with 643k followers, more than twice of her followers back in June when she had 305k.

By the middle of this year, let's expect Anne's followers to reach 1million.

Kris Aquino is still 2nd to Anne with 462k followers, then Angel Locsin, who previously in 7th place, is now 3rd.

Mariel Rodriguez and Nikki Gil who are not that active on Twitter lately were dropped from the Top 10. Mariel is now 12th while Nikki is 15th.

They're replaced in the Top 10 by Angelica Panganiban, from #12 to #6, and Cristine Reyes, who went 7 notches up, from #14 to #7.

Sarah Geronimo is also showing her power on Twitter. She now enters the Top 25, at the #16 slot.

"Glee" star Charice also went up high, from 19th to 11th spot.

Vice Ganda, who got the most Facebook Likes among Philippine celebs, is also conquering Twitter. Still considered as among the newest Twitter users, Vice is already ranked 21st.

Cosmo starts search for the 2011 Summer's Steamy Studs

Cosmopolitan Philippines has just announced its search for the 2011
Summer's Steamy Studs.

Two go-sees are scheduled next week. First on January 14, 10 AM to 7 PM, then another one the next day, January 15, from 8 AM to 6 PM, to be held at the Summit Media Office, 6th Floor of Robinsons Cybergate Tower 3, Pioneer St in Mandaluyong City.

The contest is open to all hot men from the provinces. (Yes, you need to represent a province to be eligible for the Summer's Steady Studs
2011.)

Boracay makes world headlines for the video scandal filmed by ABS-CBN on New Year's Day

Boracay Island in the Philippines is now making world headlines, sadly not because of its beauty, but of the video scandal involving foreign tourists.

The said video scandal in the island of Boracay was filmed by ABS-CBN's TV Patrol and according to the news report, it happened at 2 AM on January 1, 2011.

ABS-CBN's own camera caught some foreign tourists doing scandalous acts on the shores of Boracay.

Showbiz reporter Gretchen Fullido who saw the incident herself was the one who reported it on TV and she even interviewed actress-host Ruffa Gutierrez giving her own reaction about the video scandal.

Ruffa and her family were also there vacationing, but she herself didn't see it on the spot.

It puzzles me why Gretchen only interviewed Ruffa and not those other tourists who actually saw it real and are really scandalized by what happened.

I highly doubt if TV Patrol crew really saw it happening by chance. Or could it be, they intentionally waited for it to happen and had it documented?

Even TV Patrol anchor Ted Failon also wondered about it. "Ano naman ang ginagawa ng ating mga crew sa alas dos nang madaling araw?"

Malay, Aklan Mayor John Yap is now planning to impose a "No S-x on the Beach" rule in Boracay island.

And now, news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) is reporting it internationally and has been picked up by various news sites from around the globe.

It's funny because Ruffa Gutierrez is also part of the international reports.

The video scandal in Boracay making worldwide headlines is actually good because it warns the tourists not to have s-x on the beach of Boracay or in any beaches from a conservative country like the Philippines.

But definitely, it will affect the number of tourists because some probably are now afraid that it might also happened to them, being filmed at 2AM while doing their own business.

I think some Pinoys love to do that too. (Sino aamin?)

That s-x on the beach thing happens anywhere, not only in Boracay, and it was just unlucky that ABS-CBN caught it and it involved foreigners, that's why it has become a big issue (when in fact, it shouldn't be).

Paolo Hubalde's abs makes Vice Ganda go weak at the knees | Vice is already in love (or lust?) with Paolo

Paolo Hubalde, the newest judge on Showtime, is the new "love" of Vice Ganda.

Showtime host and judge Vice Ganda has found a new guy to lust for after Jon Avila, Kean Cipriano and Jhong Hilario. And he is PBA "Barako Bull" player Paolo Hubalde, who currently sits as judge on Showtime for this week.

Vice is actually feeling not just only lust, but also love 'coz he doesn't want Paolo to get evicted from the show this coming Saturday.

He wants him to stay so he's making an appeal to the viewers and his Twitter followers not to vote off Paolo.

"Ikamamatay ko talaga 'pag natanggal siya. I have never loved like this before," Vice told SNN last night.

On Twitter, you can read Vice Ganda's tweets expressing her cravings for Paolo Hubalde's lust-worthy and knee-weakening bod. "Di ko kinaya ang abs ni Paolo. Nalowbat ako! Inubos nya ang energy ako."

Vice also loves to smell the shorts that Paolo gave him yesterday. "Nakakaadik ang amoy ng shorts nya!"

That's only a shorts, what more if it's an underwear?

Last Tuesday, Paolo gave Vice a jersey shirt, then a jacket on the next day and the shorts yesterday. It's exciting to know what Paolo's gonna give Vice on Showtime's episode today.

Vice also revealed on SNN last night that Paolo is already being considered as leading man in his new movie this 2011.

If in case you still don't know, Paolo is the brother of model and former UAAP player Derick Hubalde.

This might not be good to hear, but Paolo is already happily married.

People's Choice Awards 2011 winners: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and more

The 37th People's Choice Awards was held Wednesday night, January 5, 2011, at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The 2010 hit movie "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was among the big winners. It took home the awards Favorite Movie and Favorite Drama Movie of the Year.

Its stars Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were also honored as Best On-Screen Team.

Pattinson and Lautner were both nominated as Favorite Movie Actor but they lost to Johnny Depp but their leading lady Kristen Stewart was the one who won as Favorite Movie Actress beating heavyweights such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Katherine Heigl and Julia Roberts.

Stewart and Pattinson were also nominated as Favorite Movie Star Under 25 but it was Zac Efron who took the award.

For the music category, Justin Bieber failed to win as Favorite Breakout Artist but I'm sure he's much happier coz the winner was the band "Selena Gomez and the Scene" who has Bieber's rumored girlfriend as the lead singer.

Gerald Anderson spent a "shirtless" holiday with male friends

Gerald Anderson had fun during the last holidays with his awesome male
friends in Baler, Aurora.

He was with fellow PBB ex-housemate Fred Payawan and some other friends who are now getting famous such as Ali Claus, Mike Young and
Jalal Cali Laidan.

Gerald and friends were there for two days and had a shirtless adventure together. They soaked in the sun, hit the beach, had surfing, toured the place and made some real hot pumping actions.

Diane Marie Santos aka Rejoice Rivera of the Baywalk Bodies laid to rest

Rejoice Rivera (Real Name: Diane Marie Santos), the Baywalk Bodies member whose body was found dead on New Year's Eve, was already laid to rest yesterday, January 4, 2011, in her hometown in Bulacan.

Rejoice Rivera, 26, was
reported missing since December 28 but 3 days later, she was found lifeless, with two gunshot wounds on the head, at the Tabang Exit of
North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

ABS-CBN's News Patrol reported it on Friday night while everyone was rejoicing and celebrating the New Year.

But to Rejoice's family and friends, it was the saddest New Year they've ever had.

Yesterday, they paid their last respect to Rejoice at her burial in Malolos, Bulacan.

They were wearing white shirts with prints "Justice for Diane Marie Santos", because up to now, the one responsible for her death hasn't been identified yet by the police.

Video: Melai Cantiveros burns Mr. Fu's picture on "Banana Split"

ABS-CBN's "Banana Split" and its star Melai Cantiveros have offended TV5 host Mr. Fu, who's popular for his trademark expression "Meganon?" or "May ganun?".

I was able to watch the said Banana Split's New Year's Day episode last Saturday wherein Melai was giving the viewers the things to leave behind from the past year (2010).

One of those things was Mr. Fu's "Meganon". It was written on a paper with Mr. Fu's photo on the background, then Melai burnt it.

Also included in those that Melai burnt was the "Kimerald", the already resolved "conflict between Sharon Cuneta and Aga Muhlach", and the still unresolved "Cristine Reyes-Rayver Cruz-Sarah Geronimo" issue.

I actually never thought that it will offend those involved and become a major controversy.

I'm not just sure if the Kimeralds are also offended. Are you guys?

On SNN last night, Melai defended herself by saying that she was just following what was written on her script.

Shaina Magdayao fans want "Alyna" back to its original timeslot

Shaina Magdayao's soap "Alyna" on ABS-CBN has a new timeslot starting last Monday, January 3, 2011.

It's now airing at 5:15 PM, the timeslot previously occupied by "Shoutout" which took over the timeslot left by "Down With Love".

While the timeslot may be good 'coz "Alyna" becomes a pre-program to the network's Primetime Bida block, some fans of Shaina or the followers of the show outside Metro Manila are unhappy with it.

Why?

Because the 5:15 timeslot of Alyna is only in Metro Manila and the show has a different timeslot in the provinces.

And also, the episodes of Alyna in the provinces starting yesterday are one-day delayed, meaning...the episode shown in Manila yesterday will be watched only today by those from non-Manila regions. How complicated!

This was also the case of Shoutout before, but not anymore with the new timeslot.

Take a look at how schedules or the order of ABS-CBN shows differ in Manila and in the provinces:

A petition site has just been started today by someone representing the avid viewers of Alyna, requesting ABS-CBN to put back the show to its original timeslot 'coz they don't want 1-day delayed episodes of it.

The creator of that petition is from Cebu and according to him/her, what's being shown there at 5:15 is TV Patrol Central Visayas and Alyna is being aired after Malparida but with late episodes.

But the question is: Will ABS-CBN grant their request? 'coz
the "1-day delayed" thing is being practiced for so long already by ABS-CBN Regional Network Group and the ABS-CBN in Manila is aware of it.

And the fact that it's being done for a long time already, that just means they really don't care if some viewers aren't satisfied with what ABS-CBN does with their shows in the provinces.

But who knows? Maybe that petition site might prompt ABS-CBN to take some actions which will favor all of its viewers nationwide.

Anne Curtis, Liz Uy and Carla Humphries, who happen to be close friends, are all cover girls this January 2011.

Carla is the FHM cover girl for the month while Anne is on

celebrity but to get styled herself as the cover girl of Preview. It's the first time that the mag's very own fashion editor becomes the
cover girl.

Liz making headlines before as stylist to President Noynoy Aquino and as one of the girls the President dated last year definitely brought
clamor for her to become a magazine cover girl.

Roxanne Guinoo and Elton Yap wedding set for January 23, 2011

Roxanne Guinoo is set to tie the knot with Fil-Chinese businessman Angelo Elton Yap on January 23, 2011.

No further details for the wedding but it's definitely sure to happen as Roxanne and Elton already had their engagement photos taken late
last month.

Roxanne Guinoo is 24 years old while Elton Yap is 21.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez kissing photos make some Bieber fans really mad

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez indeed have real kissing photos now
circulating on the net starting yesterday, January 3, 2010.

I was right that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are the couple to watch this 2011 especially with their reported hook-up in Miami last month and the news that Justin reportedly gave Selena a diamond bracelet as a
Christmas gift.

But I never thought that it's going to be this early, when a real "scandal" of them would break in this 3rd day of 2011.

Last December 28, an alleged kissing photo of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez was posted on a Bieber fan blog, but it was believed to be as
fake and photoshopped, at least according to Bieber's rep.

A week later, the website TMZ.com has posted 5 photos allegedly of Bieber and Gomez, and this time around, they really are the couple in the pics, one of which shows Bieber kissing Selena.

They can't deny the photos. It's very much them.

The pictures were reportedly taken last weekend while the two were celebrating the New Year at the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.

Here are two of those photos: one shows Justin Bieber kissing Selena Gomez and the other one shows Bieber grabbing Gomez' butt:

Wow, they really are one odd couple. Selena, who's 18, is really taller and bigger than Justin, who's only 16 and looks like her little brother.

The photos actually show that Justin is also a normal teenager and he's got the moves of a man with real testosterone.

But some Bieber fans could not easily accept it.

On Twitter, you can read lots of hate tweets against Selena with some fans are even threatening to kill the Disney star. Scary!
